Imagine going camping with Bryan and a bunch of friends. You all sat laughing around a campfire, sharing funny stories with one another as you roasted s'mores. You and Bryan sat on your own log cuddled up next to each other, exchanging smiles occasionally.
"Hey, I have a better idea," one of your friends piped up, "let's share some scary stories!"
You immediately felt nervous since you knew you'd be sleeping in a dark tent in the middle of the woods, and you already didn't do well with scary stories in general. Bryan let out a laugh when he noticed your hesitant expression.
"You know I'll be with you right?" He whispered before he placed a kiss to the side of your head.
"I know, I know," but it was too late anyway, they'd already started.
The mood seemed to change completely. The campfire didn't seem so bright anymore and the woods around you seemed to get thicker. Bryan hugged you tighter when you snuggled even closer to him on a particularly scary part of a story. After what seemed like an eternity of this, everyone was yawning and ready to go to sleep. You and Bryan stayed out together to let the fire die. Bryan stood up to get closer to it and glanced up to see you looking around with nervous eyes.
"Hey," he said, drawing your attention back to him, "you don't have to be scared, you know."
"Who said I was scared?" You said, trying to laugh it off, but you weren't fooling him.
He walked over to you and held out his hands so he could help you up. You stood and he immediately pulled you into his chest.
You laughed as you rested your head on him, "You know me too well."
He nodded, "I really do."
He stood there with you, quietly listening to the fire crackle next to you until he heard you yawn. You lifted your head to reveal a sleepy expression.
"How about this," he started as he lifted you into his arms, "why don't we stay up talking until you fall asleep?"
You blushed and nodded your head through another yawn, "I love you, Bryan."
He let out a laugh, "I love you too, (y/n)."
