I can't believe this. They never come here until seven to do school work. But of course hop along here decides to take her here of all places to talk to her. Pretend you don't see them. Yeah. "Peaches!" Dang it. I turn around to Riley. "Hey riles. What are you doing here?" She looks at Lucas then back at me. "Just getting a smoothie. Can I talk you for a sec?" I stand up. "Sure." We walk over to a table and Riley starts taking. "Lucas asked me to come here. He said he has something important he wants to talk to me about!" She says gleefully. I give a pained smile. "That's great riles. Look just don't get your hopes up okay?" She tilts her head. "What do you mean? Do you know what he's going to talk to me about?" I shake my head. "Of course not. I'm just saying that if he didn't specify it as something good then it could be something bad." She looks back at Lucas and smiles. "I have hope." I sit back. "Of course you do." She gets up and walks back over to Lucas. Josh comes and joins me. "So what's up with them?" I shrug. "I don't know." I try to finish my smoothie as fast as possible so that him and I can leave before Lucas and Riley talk. Just since Josh is with me. Later tonight I'll talk to Riley to see how she's doing. I just don't want to evolve Josh until Riley is stable. Him and I finish and before we can walk out the door Riley jets out in front of us in tears. We both look back at Lucas who is avoiding us. I run after Riley. I finally catch up with Riley when she's already back at her house. "Riley what happened?" she sits down at the bay window. "It's over. For good." I sit down next to her. "What did he say?" she turns to me. "He said that he realized why we didn't work well as a couple the last time. He said he only likes me as a friend. And that is what we need to stay as. Just friends. Why did he suddenly change his mind about me?" I wrap my arm around her. "I don't know riles. Maybe its for the best. Your too good for him anyways." she smiles. "Thanks Maya." she hugs me. "Weren't you with Josh?" I nod. "Yeah but your more important." she smiles. "So he's back at Topanga's?" I nod. "Yeah. Oh crud. Um Riley I've gotta-" I shake my head. "No. You need me so I'm going to stay here." she smiles. "Thank you but I'll be fine. Go find Josh." I smile. "You sure?" she nods. "Yeah I'll be fine." I take off back to Topanga's hoping that Josh hasn't spoken to Lucas. I walk in and see no sign of Josh or Lucas anywhere. "Oh come on." where could they be? Did they talk to each other? And if so what did they say? Did Lucas tell him what happened? I pull my phone out and call Josh.

J- Hello

M- Hey where did you go? I came back here.

J- Oh um...... I just left cause I figured Riley needed you.

M- Oh well she is actually doing pretty well. She's the one who told me to come find you.

J- Well I'm already back at my place but I mean I can come over to your place if you want?

M- No its fine. You don't have to.

J- Okay. See you tomorrow?

M- Yeah see you tomorrow.

I hang up the phone and walk home.
