Why Him?

Little baby......

     "Congratulations. It looks like you'll be having a little baby...... Boy." A smile spreads across my face. I look back Josh. "Its a boy." He smiles at me. "Its a boy." We leave the doctors office and I can't stop smiling the whole way home. I'm pregnant with a little baby boy. I'm gonna have a son. Oh my gosh. I'm gonna have a son. Woah. I can't have a son I'm not ready! I don't have a crib or anything! I don't even have a job! Wait a minute. Does this mean I want to keep him? This whole time I've been leaning towards giving him up but now. I don't know if I can. I really need to talk to Josh about this. We arrive at my place and I invite Josh up so that we can figure everything out. I grab a water from the fridge then return to the couch where Josh is. "Okay first things first. Do you want to keep the baby?" he looks at me a little shocked. "Of course. Do you not?" I shrug. "I mean I want to but......... I just don't think that I can't be the mother that he deserves." he grabs my hand. "Maya that's insane. You'll be an amazing mother!" I smile. "Thank you." we continue discussing everything until we have every detail figured out. I wanted to make sure that we were both on the exact same page when it came to the baby. We decide to keep him. Because of Josh's college schedule he is able to take the baby in the morning until noon. My mom will pick him up after that and take him to daycare. Once I get out of school I will go to daycare and pick him up. Josh leaves and I head over to Riley's. I come through the bay window and she is already sitting there. "Peaches! How was your doctors appointment?" I take a seat. "It was good! Wanna know what I'm having?" she gets excited. "Yes!!" I pull out a sonogram picture. "I'm having a boy." I say smiling. She hugs me. "I'm so happy for you!" she looks down at the picture then gets a weird look on her face. I laugh a little. "Whats wrong?" she looks over me. "I just thought about something weird." "What?" she gives a laugh. "Your pregnant with my cousin." I laugh. "I forgot about that. You know I'm practically your aunt now." she holds her hand up. "Uh uh. No ring no aunt. Lets just try and settle with the fact that your growing my cousin right now." we both break into laughter.
