Surprisingly him and I do a lot of talking. We didn't even notice that it was midnight until he checked his phone. Of course that's when I thought he would leave but he didn't. So there's a question to ask. "Aren't your parents going to be worried?" he shakes his head. "Their out of town. They went back to Texas for some emergency." my brow wrinkles. "If its an emergency then why did they leave you?" he shrugs. "They said that they didn't want to take me out of school." I begin to get sleepy so I lay my head on the couch and rest my eyes. I'm barely awake. But I feel something that shocks me. Something I never in a million years expected to happen. I feel Lucas softly kiss me on the lips. After that I open my eyes but he's already out the door. I watch as the door closes behind him. What just happened?

It's the next morning, a Friday. A school day. I have to see Lucas so I can ask him what the heck he was thinking last night! I mean him and Riley have had a thing going for a while now, I'm dating Josh, and for crying out loud I'm pregnant with Josh's child! Riley's cousin! Why on earth would he kiss me?!? Is he out of his mind!?! Ugh!!! I get dressed and head straight to school ten minutes early. I want to make sure I have plenty of time to talk to Lucas before class starts. He is not getting out of it. I walk into school and begin my search for Lucas. I find him talking to Riley. "Lucas!" I shout while walking over to him. "We need to talk." he has a worried look on his face. Riley looks over me. "Whats wrong?" I look over at her. "Nothing riles. I just have a question for him." Riley looks at Lucas. "Why does she have a question for you?" he looks at her. "I don't know. Whats your question Maya?" "You know how you walked me home last night? And then talked for a few. After we finished talking you........ Hissed at me." I changed the word since Riley is standing there and I really don't want to upset her before I know his side of the story. But he knows exactly what I'm talking about. "Oh right. I remember that." Riley's eyes bugged out. "You hissed at her!" he looks at her. "Yeah." I turn his head back to me. "Why did you hiss at me?" he shrugs. "I don't know." I shake my head. "No not good enough. I want an actual answer." before he can answer Farkle and Zay walk up. Which is actually a good thing because they distract Riley long enough for me to drag Lucas into the empty class room. "Talk." he sighs. "You know how you said you didn't want our opinions of you to change?" I nod. "Yeah." "Well mine has." I sit down. "What do you mean?" he leans up against a desk. "You are so brave during all of this. You are so strong. Maya I loved talking to you last night. And I guess with my new view of you and our conversations last night something changed. Watching you falling asleep last night, you never looked so beautiful. Even with your pregnant belly." he gives a small laugh. "My view of you has changed. I kissed you last night Maya because I finally realized why every time I see or think about I smile. I kissed you because I like you." right after those words came out of his mouth the bell rings and people start coming in.

Why!?!? Why did he have to say that?!?! He knows I'm pregnant. He knows I'm dating Josh. So why would make an already complicated situation even more complicated? Maybe he wants to torture me. Or maybe this is just some cruel joke that he's playing to get back at me for all the nick names. What about him and Riley? I look in front of me at Riley. Happy as ever. Did her and Lucas talk? Did the decide to call off whatever their thing was? I look behind me and see Lucas look over at me. What does he think he's doing? Besides giving a pregnant teenager anxiety issues. I look down at my phone and see a text from Josh.

J- hey my last class of the day got canceled. Wanna go to Topanga's or something?

I stare at the message for a moment. Should I tell him what Lucas did? Or should I keep to myself? Ugh.... Is it hot in here or is it just me? When is this class going to be over?!?
