The following day I wake up at 10 surprised that I actually slept that long. I get up and go to the kitchen to eat some breakfast when I hear a knock at the door. I get up and open the door to see Riley standing there. "Oh. Hey riles what are you doing here?" she smiles. "Well its Saturday and I have nothing to do so I figured whats better than hanging with my best friend?!" I smile. "Absolutely nothing." she comes in and I continue to eat my bowl of cereal. She sits down and starts talking. "So how've you been?" I shrug. "I've been alright." she nods. "You and Josh doing good?" I take a drink of water. "I think so. Whats with the questions?" she shrugs. "Just trying to get up to date on whats going on in my best friends life." I laugh. "I'm a pregnant teenager. I don't think anything else that happens in my life is going to be all that interesting." just then there is another knock at the door. I look over at Riley. "You bring someone with you?" she shakes her head. "No." she goes and answers it. "Hello?" the look around Riley and see Josh standing there. "Oh its you. Come on in." Riley steps out of the way and he walks in. Him and Riley walk over and sit down. "So uncle Josh its. How have you been?" as they break off into a conversation I sneak off to my room to change. When I come back out their voices are lowered and they don't seem happy. "Whats going on?" I ask. Riley turns to me. "Nothing peaches." Josh stands up. "Well since you've got Riley to hang with for the day I think I'm going to head out." I shake my head. "You don't have to leave. I mean I'm sure Riley won't mind if you stay. Right riles?" she gives me what looks like a fake smile. "Yeah...... I don't mind." Josh looks kinda defeated. "Nah its okay. I'll talk to you later okay?" I grab his hand. "At least let me walk you out." he nods and we walk to the door. We step outside and I close the door behind me. "Josh whats going on between you two?" he runs his fingers through his hair. "Nothing really." I cross my arms. "I don't keep secrets from you so please don't keep any from me." yes I know I just lied but its more of a white lie because I am going to tell him. He sighs. "Okay well Riley and Cory haven't exactly been talking to me for a while. They blame me for what happened. And to be honest I blame myself too." I shake my head. "No. Don't you dare blame yourself. It took two people. They are being petty and stubborn. I can't believe Riley would do this!" he shrugs. "Its okay. Hopefully they'll come around eventually. But don't worry about. Its my problems not yours. Okay?" I nod. "Okay." he kisses me on the forehead and I walk back inside. Riley looks over at me. "Everything okay?" I shake my head. "No. Everything is not okay. How can you and your dad do this to him!" she stands up. "Maya he's the reason your pregnant! He did this to you!" I slam my hands on the table. "It took two people Riley! I did this to myself! I could have stopped it just as well as he could have but I didn't. You can't just blame him." she throws her hands in the air. "He should have known better. HE should have stopped. He should have known you wouldn't and he should have stopped it from happening." I step back. "Are you saying that I couldn't stopped it? That it was up to him?" she shakes her head. "No Maya I'm say that you wouldn't have. He would have but he didn't. The blame is on him." I stand there with tears forming in my eyes. "Get out." I say quietly. Her brow wrinkles. "What?" I shout at her this time. "GET OUT!" she looks at me. "Maya-" I cut her off. "No I mean it Riley. Leave." she grabs her purse and walks over to the door. "I stand by what I said." she opens the door and leaves.
