Later that day Riley and I went down to Topanga's to meet the gang there to work on some school work. "Hey." Riley says to the guys. Farkle looks over at us. "Hey." we all start doing our homework only talking every once and a while until Riley suggests we take a smoothie break. I sip on my smoothie while everyone talks. I'm not really in the mood for talking. Lucas looks over at me. "You alright Maya? Not really saying much tonight." I look down at my smoothie. "I'm just not in a talking mood thats all." Riley looks over at Maya. "Well you better get into a talking mood because I'm sleeping over tonight." I look over at Riley. "What are you talking about?" Riley gives a faint laugh. "Our sleep over tonight. We've been planning this?" I set my smoothie on the table. "Oh right. Yeah it just slipped my mind." Riley picked up her books. "Ok I thats enough studying for the night. We'll see you guys at school tomorrow." her and I start our walk to her house. "Look Maya I know your upset about Josh but its not like that was going anywhere anyways right? I mean you had to know that?" I nod. "Yeah Riley I know." we get to her place and begin walking down the hall. When we get outside the door we hear Josh talking. "Cory it is worse than that! I did this to a girl I absolutely care about. And I can't fix it." Riley opens the door and Mr. Matthews looks at her. "I'm just grabbing my stuff then I'm going over to Mayas."
Riley proceeds to her room and I wait in the doorway. Josh continues. "Cory it kills me that I can't fix it." Cory looks over at Maya then back at Josh. "You sure you want to continue this conversation?" Josh looks back at me. "Yeah." Cory nods. "Who's the girl? Is it the one you told me about?" Josh nods. "Yeah but I may have not been entirely truthful about her when I told you about her." he sighs and then looks back me again. Right before he can speak Riley enters the room. "Alright Maya lets go." she walks out the door and starts down the hall. I close the door and as soon as I do I hear Josh speak again. "That girl is Maya." Riley looks back me from down the hall. "You coming?" I let go of the doorknob. "Yeah I'm coming."
