At an encampment, a good few miles away, a few horsemen arrived. A scruffy looking character took note and ran over to a tent somewhat larger than the rest. "Hey Boss, the spies are back."

"Good," I said, without looking up from the map I was studying, "send them in, Yoric."

"Yes sir," He replied and ran off in the direction in which he had come.

A few minutes later, the men entered, and I looked up. "Ah, excellent. What did you find out?"

"Oh, bad news, boss." The leader, a scum-bag named Boron, said. I didn't think much of the comment, he was known for exaggerating.

"Well?" I said impatiently, waiting for a report.

"Well sir, It's Bloody-Hand, it is. He's got somethin' up his sleeve." He paused for effect.

"And?" I raised an eyebrow menacingly. I did not like to be kept waiting.

"Yes sir, he's got something. Some unnatural creature, with shiny arms."

Hmm, must be made of metal, "Description."

"Uh, well, it's a female, sir, least that's what it looks like, and it's got wavy bleach blond hair." He caressed his own greasy locks.

That pale? How's that even possible? I had an idea of whom it might be, "Did you get a name?"

"Uh yes sir. It was something like, uh, Fan."

"Fan?" That was a weird name if I'd ever heard one.

"Yes sir, and she had unnatural purple eyes."

I hid my surprise from them, "Are you sure the name wasn't, Fay?"

Boron shrugged, "I dunno Boss. It started with an 'F'."

I turned my back on them to hide my, otherwise apparent, surprise. "Alright, get my horse ready, we're going to get her."

"But Boss!" Boron protested, "she's in the middle of Bloody-hand's camp!"

I faced them again, this time my countenance one of wrath, "I don't care! We're going to get her, and we're going to get her now!' I shouted. "Now get my horse!"

Duly silenced, Boron and the rest of his crew made a quick exit.

"Fay," I said the name softly under my breath. This just might work."
