I considered my options quickly. I could have tried to bolt with the horse like last time, but it hadn't worked out well. And we were in a sort of cave, so that lessened my chances of escaping.
Without a word, I dismounted the horse, which was very beautiful. Although that wasn't really the time to think of it.
Immediately, the man grabbed my arm and shoved me towards a corner in the cave, forcing me to sit down.
The man backed up slightly, and stood staring at me for awhile before he spoke, "Let's avoid the pleasantries, princess."
His tone sounded like he was mocking me, and I barely held it together. "What do you want?" I grit out.
"Where is the ring?"
What is he talking about? Ring?
"I don't know what you're talking about..." I trailed off uncertainly.
The man and woman looked extremely annoyed with me.
"Stop lying!" He yelled angrily, "You know what ring I am talking about."
"No, frankly, I don't!" I stood up, frustrated that they would kidnap me for something I didn't know!
The man started to say something, but was interrupted by the woman stepping forward.
"Enough, Keary. Your methods clearly won't work." She looked very triumphant as she unsheathed a dagger. "My turn."
I refused to react at all, keeping my expression neutral. I will not give them satisfaction.
Taking a step forward, she pressed the edge of the dagger against my cheek, "Where is the ring? And before you say that you don't know, remember that I would enjoy torturing you."
"I don't know," I said truthfully, knowing what that would mean.
"So be it." The girl pressed the dagger into my cheek and began sliding it downwards, "Feel free to divulge the information anytime."
