I moved painfully over to Theo, now noticing how painful the cut on my arm was getting. The fact that I had just been slammed into the cave wall wasn’t a very pleasant sensation either.

I hadn’t heard what the two captors had been saying, but frankly, I didn’t care. So when the man came over and started helping Theo, I was thoroughly shocked. Hadn’t he just said that he wasn’t going to help him?

The girl came over, pointing at the far corner of the cave, “Get over there. Or I will throw you over there,” she growled, obviously still furious that we had gotten past her.

I held down a smirk and did as she said, not fancying being thrown again.

Sitting down, I watched the man as he tended to Theo's wounds and applied a small amount of some plant to them. He had better be helping him instead of doing the opposite.

After several minutes, the man stood up and walked to the cave wall. After a moment, the girl followed him, crossing her arms.

Seeing no reason not to, as quickly as I could I went over to Theo, examining his wounds, which were now wrapped in makeshift bandages to keep the poultice on.

“Theo?” I asked quietly, hoping he was awake.

His eyes flickered open and I smiled, twining my fingers in his, “How’re you feeling?”

“Better,” he mumbled, squeezing my hand tightly.

I kissed his forehead, “Good.” I say quietly.

Wincing as my arm flared up again, I turned my head to look at it. It had crusted over, but I could see a hint of green as well as red on the scab, and belatedly figured it’s infected.

Turning my head towards the man and girl, I asked, “May I have a wet rag?” Sounded too polite for them, but I couldn’t very well demand it from them.

The man got one and tossed it to me.

I took it, slowly releasing my hand from Theo’s to try to clean it somewhat. Gently, I dabbed at it, slowly clearing away the junk that had collected around it.

Well, they kinda okay for now... Let's see how long that will last ;)
