I forced myself not to squeeze the rag as hard as I could to release the anger I felt towards the cocky girl. I breathed in and out. Think of Theo.

Gently, I pressed the rag against his shoulder, wincing as he moaned. "It's alright, Theo," I whispered, "everything's going to be fine." Shutting my eyes tightly, I rested my head against him, feeling the tears starting to seep through.

This is not what was supposed to happen in my life. I was going to marry Theo, and eventually rule the kingdom with him. Not this.

My thoughts flowed along like a river, straight into thinking about what was going to happen to us. Were they actually going to let us go? Were they going to use us as leverage?

I knew I shouldn't be thinking about those things, but I couldn't help it. Tears started falling from my eyes, and I started to sob quietly. Theo might not even make it.

I shuddered at the thought and struggled to compose myself.

Opening my dark green eye, I lifted my head from Theo's shoulder, wiping the tears away.

Readjusting my grip on the rag, I dabbed at his shoulder, cleaning it as best I could. I had taked a healing class when I was younger, but hadn't practiced it much. There hadn't been any need.

I found myself clenching the rag tightly, and I closed my eyes lightly.

Focus, Breathe. Relax.

"Adira?" A weak murmur from Theo sent my eyes wide open.

"Theo," I said, breathless, resting my forehead on his. "Please. Stay awake."

I could see him struggle to keep his eyes open, and my filled with tears which I rapidly treid to blink away.

"I love you," I whispered. He needed to know that before he-- if he... I couldn't finish the thought and kissed him on the lips.

"Stay with me,"

Oh whew does this mean Theo's gonna be okay???????????????????????????????

*stares thoughtfully at atrocious number of question marks* *shrugs* Well, I imagine we all hope so. :)
