3. Soccer Practice

When we ended our tour, there was still an hour left of school. That being said, Ace and I have been sitting in the library until it was over.
We were super bored so we were watching re-runs of Full House. The bell rung signaling the end of the day.
"I'm gonna go find Zane." I told Ace.
"Okay, but make sure he doesn't bite your head off. I need my best friend."
I laughed at him. "Shut up."
I really wanted to see them practice. Maybe just maybe, I could ask the coach of Ace and I could join the team.
Even if I have to beg Zane to say yes, even though I doubt that will happen.
He seemed pretty rude earlier. Seriously, I was one step closer to punching him in the damn-
"Oh my gosh. You've got to be kidding me." I muttered. This is the second time today I bumped into someone.
"You know when you walk, your suppose to look where you're going, right?"
Oh shit.
I looked up and met Zane's ebony eyes. "You know shit is suppose to come out of your ass, not your mouth, right?" I shot back smartly.
Zane glared at me. "Watch who you're talking to, sweetheart." He scowled.
Was I suppose to be afraid? Who did this guy think he was?
"I don't care who your dad is, I'm not scared of you." I narrowed my eyes at him.
"That's your problem and frankly I don't care." He started to walk away when I stepped in front of him. "What?" He snapped.
"I need to ask you something." I replied. He raised his eyebrow and have me an expecting look. "Is it okay if me and Ace come watch you guys practice today?"
Zane looked at me plainly for two seconds before, "No." He made an attempt to leave again but I stepped in front of him. Again.
Why is he so damn stubborn?
"What now?" Zane sighed.
"Please." I whined with a pout. He just stared at me with a bored expression.
"Whatever, now can I go?" I smiled sweetly at him.
"Yes, you may; and by the way, don't call me sweetheart." I told him.
He stepped closer and his face was inches away from mine. I could smell his amazing cologne and I just stared into his eyes.
We were challenging each other quietly until, "I can do whatever the hell I want." He said in a low voice and his face was still blank.
He stepped back and made his way around me.
Okay....
I ignored the butterflies in my stomach and started to make my way back to the library.
When I arrived, I ran to Ace and started hitting his arm repeatedly.
I know, I do that a lot.
