"So, what are we going to do about Mikhai?" Zane asked. We were both walking towards the library cafeteria for lunch.
We didn't find anything about spirits corrupting human bodies, or disparate bodies either. I've never heard anything like that before. I don't even know where Hayden would get that type of power.
As for my mother last night, I don't know how she knew about Nikki. I also didn't know what she meant when she said 'She's always there.' I mean, I know what she meant but it was like there was a deeper meaning to it. I decided to worry about it later.
"I don't know," I told him. "Not only do we need to sort out this Kai business, but we need to get Ace back as soon as possible. We need more time."
"Agreed." Zane sighed. "But right now, I think we should worry about getting something to eat. I've been hearing your stomach growl since we left study hall." I laughed at him.
"Shut up."
"So, what did you guys do at your little sleepover yesterday?" I turned to look at him cautiously. "What i'm implying is that you tell me if there were any pillow fights I should know about." I laughed at Zane again and shoved him.
Pervert. "You're so sick. I keep forgetting you're a boy compared to a grumpy wildebeest." I nudged him.
Oh, come on that's funny.
"Haha funny," Zane smiled as he began to tickle my side slightly. I swatted his hand away and he grabbed my wrists as we entered the lunchroom. Armani, Nikki, and Ali were already waiting at our table.
I sat down at the table and greeted them. "Hey, guys, what's up?" Armani looked relieved that Zane and I arrived. Sitting at a table alone with Nikki and Ali must've been very awkward.
"I think I flunked my exam for spanish." Nikki sighed. "I hate Mr.Gower. I'd wish he fall in a hole."
"Nice suggestion Nikki, is that where you came from?" Zane asked with a teasing smirk.
Nikki pursed her lips. "One day, Z, one day we will fight." We all just laughed.
Just then, the doors to the cafeteria opened and I just felt the need to look over.
Oh my goodness.
It was Hayden...and...Ace. Or should I say Mikhai. The five of us all looked at each other and then back to them. Hayden and Ace were talking and they seemed like two normal guys but that obviously wasn't the case.
"Can you hear what they're saying?" Ali asked. I shook my head.
"I can't use my powers on spirits. It won't work." I told them. I looked over to Armani and she was vigorously chewing away on her necklace, like she was about to devour it. I watched as Hayden and Ace laughed about something and they both sat down at a table where Andrew, Nate, Malia, and Penny were already seated.
However, Andrew was locking lips with this random girl. There was a bit of jealousy in my stomach and I don't even know why. I felt the, urge to go over there and drag the bitch of of him.
Why the hell is he kissing another girl?
Why the hell do you care?
I tore my gaze away from them and my eyes went over Malia and Nate who were flirting. Then there was Ace and Penny.
