19. Get Down To Business
Train insane or remain the same...

I gently dabbed under Ace's eyes. He was bruised pretty badly and I absolutely hated seeing him like this.
If you're wondering what happened last night, Hayden did in fact send the Cerberus after us.
It was not Pretty.
Seriously, he sent demonic dogs after us! We were almost mauled to death! If it wasn't for Armani's animal skills, we would've been in deep trouble.
As we waited for Zane, Nikki, Ali, and Armani, Ace and I sat in the library. I was taking care of his bruises after Malia sent a whole bunch of flying stones to his face. "Thanks, Arden." he sighed as I finished cleaning his cut.
I looked at him. "You okay?" I asked quietly.
He nodded his head. "Yeah, fine. Despite the fact i've been knocked out with a bunch of rocks." He said humorously.
I let out a quiet laugh. Just then, the door to the library opened and Zane, Ali, Armani, and Nikki walked into the room wearing the same expressions. They looked defeated, angry, just done with life.
"I swear if I could, I would kill Hayden and his damn puppies with my bare hands." Nikki muttered with a frown and they all sat.
"Those were not puppies." Zane shook his head. "Those were medium size bears with glowing red eyes."
"Isn't the Cerberus supposed to have one body and three heads?" Ali asked.
I answered. "Not exactly." I sighed. "What we need to focus on is that we all got our asses handed to us."
Armani nodded her head in agreement. "Nikki are you still healing?" She lifted her shirt slightly and instead of a stab wound, there was just a scar. It was fading away.
"Yeah." Nikki answered.
There was a silence following and I could tell, we all felt the same. Angry, frustrated, defeated...
"Well, what are we going to do about it?" Ace asked.
"Well, i'm sure as hell not getting my ass beat again." Nikki stood up. "Hell, if I lose to Hayden again."
"So, what are we supposed to do?" Armani asked quietly.
"What happened last night was bull shit. Okay, I never lose a fight." Ali stated sternly. "I have an Idea."
***
"This is a terrible idea." I muttered as I stood next to a tree.
"This is a good idea." Ali nodded his head. "What's wrong, shorty. You scared?"
I glared. "I hate you." Ali just patted my head twice before walking off.
Okay, let me explain.
Ali thought it would be a good idea if he started training us. To fight.
You know, so next time, we'd be prepared to take on the unpleasants.
So, we were in Ali's huge backyard where him and his father usually train.
"I hate this." I muttered to Nikki.
"Yeah, well, I don't even want to be here." She muttered glaring at Ali who was setting up equipment across the yard.
