40. Potential Part 2
And so the adventure begins...
***(Long Chapter)
One Month Later
I walked into the library with Armani and Ace by my side.
Not the school library, but the one at town central. We could no longer use the school's because we were on summer break.
Or should I even call it that.
Hell, we were finished with school. Graduation was last week and i'm happy to say we all graduated. It was a miracle.
"I still think you should go to Howard." Ace shook his head. As we entered the library. He had his arm slung over Armani's shoulder.
It's nice to see that they are officially together. I'm happy for them.
"Well, I think she should go to Columbia." We made our way past the bookshelves and into the middle where the seating area was located. "Ace only wants you to go to Howard because it's closer." I pointed out.
Ace shrugged. "What's wrong with close? I like close." He said over dramatically. We laughed. "Arden wants you to go to Columbia because that's where she's going."
"We have time to think about it guys. Remember, we can't start college until 2018." Armani reminded us.
True. As we approached, Nikki and Ali were waiting for us at the sitting area. Treating the library as if it were their home, their feet up as they laid back into the couch.
"Look who decided to show up." Nikki greeted us while she munched on a chocolate bar.
"Isn't it Ed, Edd, and Eddy." Ali laughed.
I chuckled at that and sat down. Armani and Ace sat on a single chair together. "Well, isn't it Han Solo and Chewbacca." Ace replied smartly and I laughed even harder.
"So, what are you guys trying to do today?" Nikki sat up.
"Well, i'm deciding which university to go to. Arden and Ace aren't making it easy." Armani sighed.
"Gross, no school talk. Guys it's summer, let's go do something fun!" Nikki squealed.
"Yeah," Ali agreed. "We should relax for a while before you guys go back to school and before we start our training as potentials."
He had a point.
Starting in August, we start our training to become the overseers of this world. It seemed like a lot, but if the gods themselves think we have what it takes, then I think we could do it.
To serve in our parents' places as gods and goddesses.
Of course Penny and Malia didn't have much to live up to. Their mothers weren't actual goddess but they still have the power of a disparate and they get to choose where they want to fit in the world.
Speaking of unpleasants...we moved on. No doubt, we will always be angry and most likely never become friends, but the feud is over.
They're doing them, and we're doing us.
I'm not sure what their punishments were, but it didn't matter. They're not my problem anymore. Zane and Hayden have been gone for a while.
I don't know where...they went, or what happened to them.
Four weeks ago, I made a special vow for those two.
Hayden.
I will never forget the hell he put me through...ever. However, I was supposed to move on. So as long as he is out of my life, I think i'll be fine.
