28. It's All Coming Together
Difficult situations often lead to beautiful destinations...

I stood in front of my locker and took out the rest of my books. I hate Wednesdays. My eyes took a glance at the picture of me and Ace taped to my locker.
We were both smiling at the camera and his cheek was pressed up against mine. You could tell I was laughing. I still remember the day it was taken. It was his birthday and it was an awesome day. We spent it at the lake...and Ace...was just Ace.
I missed him.
As for getting him back, Armani, Ali, and Zane found some good information. There is a spell to separate Ace's soul from Mikhai's. We just have to find it. There is a slight chance it might be in the Kai, only pushing us further to find it sooner.
"Happy Birthday, Ace." I whispered.
Soon, Phoebe came up to my locker. "Hey, Arden." She smiled.
"Phoebe." I greeted her. "Did you enjoy last night?" She nodded her head.
"I did. I've never had friends like you before."
I smiled at that. "I'm glad that we're friends now. I actually have to run now, but I will definitely see you free period."
"Okay, i'll see you later." She chirped before walking away.
Psyche was a sweet girl. The boys have taken a liking to her as well. I started to make my way to chemistry when someone grabbed my arm. I looked to see who was getting punched.
Andrew.
"What do you want?" I asked. As I said before, the attraction is wearing off, I can actually have a decent conversation with him. Well, maybe not a decent one.
"How do you know her?" He asked slowly, his gray eyes boring into mine. What was he talking about?
"Who?" I asked him back, yanking my arm from his grip.
"Phoebe, how do you know Phoebe?" He raised his eyebrows.
I internally smiled. "Me and her are friends. Why do you care?"
Andrew was silent for a while. I think 'being friends' with his potential 'crush' was suspicious to him. I mean, it should be.
If we get this prophecy to work, this could change things.
Andrew still hasn't answered. "Does Cupid have a little crush?" I asked.
"Hilarious." Andrew said plainly. "I'll be sure to tell your little friend, Aspasia that." He smirked and I frowned. "Poor little Arden, afraid of a tiny spider."
Memories of that day flashed through my mind. The fear and terror rushed back over me as I saw Aspasia's face. No.
Then, I was angry. There was absolutely nothing funny about that. I was angry. I didn't even realize I moved until Andrew let out a groan of pain when I banged his head against the lockers.
I pinned him to the lockers and brought the knife- that suddenly appeared in my hand- up to his throat. Thankfully, the halls were empty and everyone was already in class. I wasn't going to hurt him. Andrew stared down at me with wide eyes. "Next time, it will go in your throat." I glared at him before pushing off and walking.
That's it. No more fucking games.

I was told by Nikki to meet everyone in the library. I believe Armani found something.
