Diamond POV ( Shoal Creek in MM)

This week has been so darn hectic. Preparing for the camping swallowed the whole week. We're off tomorrow and am still kinda nervous... Lord please let everything go smoothly.
"Hola!" Taffy just arrived from her stroll with Akiylah whiles I was at work.

"How's the packin' goin'?" She bounced on the bed with Akiylah on her laps.
"Need your help. Its a hella stress packing" I heaved heavily bouncing on my flat old bed.
"Daya, I know you still stressed out" I gave her a deep glare.
"Don't gimme dah look coz its true. Its gonna be fun. You'll see". She gave my lap an encouraging pat and smiled.

"I'm just worrbout'bout you guys. You know ever since we moved to Atlanta, we've never been apart before and am gonna miss you guys so much". I rubbed my baby's cheek buh she was busy playing with her barbie doll.

"Don't be some baby, we gon' be fine. Luckily for us, Danny and Freya has given us a chance to visit ' em since mom ain't around and you gone for camping. We gonna be in good hands. Go have fun Daya. You've never had a chance on your own. Its either mama, me or Akiylah. I wantchu to be happy Daya coz you also deserve it". What Taffy just said convinced me a lot.

"Thanks Taffy for being more than a sister to me and an aunty to my baby. Ion know what I would have done withoutchu by ma side. Thanks Taffy". I could feel my eyes go blur with tears and hers too.
"Oh Daya, you gonna make ma new lashes go into ruin" she replied fanning her eyes with her hands.

"Okay now, you sound like Tamina acting all whitish" I couldn't help buh laugh remembering Tamina.
"Real talk there, Daya. I love that gurl. She sure knows how to fit into the black society"
"Coz shes got black blood in her so you can imagine" I replied still laughing.
"Well am glad you surrounded with good peepz so you don't haveworry 'bout nobody. Nah me, nah this lil' princess and nah mama" she smiled sweetly.

"Taffy, you know I didn't mama 'bout..." She caught in quickly.Forget 'bout her coz we matter not to her. Imma try and explain to her buh I don't wantchu thinkin' you did bad nah telling her okay. I got your back girl". Taffy seems to be the eldest now. I can't imagine her nah in ma life.
"Thanks Taf" I pulled her into a bear hug and finally saying our goodbyes.

Going to spend a whole week without she and Akiylah is gonna hurt buh I promised Taffy to follow her advice not to think about them. Its gonna be hard.

My goddamn alarm broke into the dawn. It was just 5am so I better get my ass up coz the bus leaves at 6am exactly. I quickly took my shower, did my hygiene and got dressed. I wore a simple sweatpants and a T-shirt with a jacket. I brushed my hair but applied no style nor make-up coz hey, ion wanna scare the hell outta of peepz.
"Up and ready are you! Need any help" Taffy entered still drunk with sleep.

"C'mon, I'll be cool. You take of yourselves. iight, I better hit the bus station before I miss the bus."
"Kk girl, have a nice time"
"Say goodbye to my baby for me. Love you guys". I hugged her one last time before heading to the bus station.
On reaching the station, I saw Montana and Zendaya being dropped off by their driver joined the most of the students who had arrived.

"DIAMOND!" Montana ran up to me like crazy.
"Am so excited we're going on this trip. Camping with another school, maybe imma gonna find some cute guy to date" she giggled like a child.
"Well, I hope this go well." I replied cooly. Talking with Taffy really helped a bit.
Not too long before Tamina joined buh ma gurl was fully packed up.

"Good morning Barbie's!" As always squealing and making me laugh. She was dressed in a Mickey mouse sweatpants and hoodie.
"That's a cheat girl! Are you gonna spend a year there or you getting locked away" Montana gasped in surprised.
"Tanaa,I was thinkin' of havin' a fourth suitcase buh I managed to pack it up well with the help of my nanny". I couldn't help buh admire how crazy Tamina acts sometimes but still keeps her good character.
