Jody just woke us to get ready coz we leavin' today. Can't believe a week is over and we goin' back. I just can't wait to see ma baby and Taffy. How am gon' cuddle. As I sat up on the bed, I remembered yesterday which brought a smile on my face. Still can't believe Tamina actually squared it out to Ken. She's damn crazy buh ma realest bestie.
"What's gotchu all smilin' did mornin'? Ah! Don't tell you thinkin' of last night 'bout you and Leslie. Awww it was so adorable". I blushed instantly remembering it all. I can't believe I let myself dance with him.

"It was just a dance Tana. Nun much". I shrugged still blushin' like mad. Why the hell am I blushin'?!
"Duhh, I saw it girl and better don't lie to me coz I saw how happy you darn were. I love to see you happy Daya coz you deserve it baby girl." She pulled me into hug.
"I believe yo' buh you girls are tryna' jump into conclusions. Leslie is just tryna' be a friend and nah what you girls are thinkin'. It ain't that all. I mean, why would be with someone like ME??? Please, he's with Aleeyah and it ain't gon' change. No guy would want a girl like me". I chuckled sadly.
"Daya, its nah true. I know there's something in yo' that's special. You beautiful, smart and special so there ain't no reason for yo' to condemn yourself. One day, you gon' see how everything is gon' turn around. Trust me honey". She tried convincing me buh I seriously don't share that believe.

I ain't gonna change from bein' ugly and clumsy. I ain't gonna change from bein' trampled on like some worthless ole rug. I just hope Tana might be sayin' some real facts coz as I am concern, ion see any changes I'm ma life except for Akiylah.
We got dressed and packed up a light snack for the way. Our bus arrived exactly at 5am buh was set to take off 5:30. I began loadin' my bags on the bus with the girls when Jody called up. I met her up at the kitchen cabin with smiles coverin' her face.

"You ready to go?" She asked. I feel comfortable talkin' to her like ma girls.
"Yea." I replied smilin' back.
"Diamond, Ion know if I'd ever see you again buh I'd use this chance to tell you nah to discourage yourself coz you beautiful. You ain't gonna let some hussy put you down. Girl, you beautiful and special and ion wanna letchu loose that coz its rare. I know very soon, you gonna smile and that hazel eyes is gonna lighten up." As she spoke, I just felt touched. It was as if she was my mother. I felt a love I've never had from my own mother.
"Oh Jody, am gonna miss you very much." I confessed rushin' her into a warm hug. I just felt to stay in her arms forever. How I wish mama could hug me like this.
"Imma miss you to darlin'. Come on, I think its time to go". She said sniffling and wiping tickles of tears around her eyes. I was cryin' too.

"Tell Tamina she did good puttin' that trash in his place". I gasp in surprise.
"You were there? Buh I didn't see yo'?"
"Nah, I wasn't . I kinda left so the show wouldn't go off buh I was around seein' everything and I think I saw you and Leslie dancing". Yikes! She saw us?
"C'mon, ion goin' down that drain buh imma tell the gospel Daya, I think he catchin' feelings for yo' buh he's just denyin' it." Aargh! Why are you guys saying that?!.
"Listen Jody..." She cut smilin"'
"You don't need to say anything. Its nah clear to you both buh it would be soon. Now, you had better get goin'. I gotta go give ma last speech. Care to escort me?" She said hanging her curved arm in air like a man. I giggled engaging my arm in hers as we walked outside like two ole friends.

"Um, am honestly gonna say its been fun havin' y'all campin' with us here at Shoal Creek. It has been both scary and interesting..." You can say that again.
"... I hope most 'o you are gonna be your true self coz y'all have got special qualities in you and it ain't worth wasting away". She paused smilin"' at me.
"Well, from me and ma assistants, we'd like to say thanks for your cooperation and wish y'all a safe journey. We love y'all". She ended blowin' kisses. Awww, she's so sweet and beautiful.
"We love too Jody!" We yelled back makin' her laugh. I saw how she was tryin' very hard to hide her tears as she looked at me.
