Diamond POV ( Daya & Leslie in                                          MM)

It was Saturday which means no college for me buh it doesn't mean I ain't hella busy. I've got tons of designs to make, I've got home works, I've got to help here at the diner, I've got to keep lookin' for an apartment to move in quickly before that jerk comes back and I've got to....

"Ugh" I couldn't help buh sigh out loudly runnin' my hand through my hair as I wiped one of the tables clean.

"Hey, you look tired. You can rest, I'll take over". Samantha offered to help buh ion wanna seem am bein' to dependent. I've got to help  even though I've been havin' this migraine.

"No Sam, am fine." I lied smilin' warmly.

She scoffed lookin' at me unbelievably.
"Daya, look at chu. You've got eye bags and I can tell you've nah gotten a good sleep. C'mon, lemme help".

"Sam..." She cut in still insistin'.
"I insist." I hesitated a little bit before handin' over her the rag.
"Thanks". I muttered lowly as I went behind the counter while the others run the place.

I've been video callin' Freya and Danny fillin' them on the good news on how everythin' have been goin' here at the diner.

I'm amazed myself at how things were goin' have been goin' smoothly and I owe it all to my great friends and sister. With their help, the Tully looks more brighter and homie attractin' more customers.

I now have enough to pay the staff and keep enough for my family. Not only that, I've got enough to buy new clothes for me, Taffy and Akiylah. And with Leslie's huge donation I've got in the bank, I can now rent a new apartment.

Oh Leslie... He's such a great person comin' low to ma class and bein' friends with me? That ain't something anybody in his class would do.

A famous rich hot nigga, friends with some...low class, clumsy shapeless gurl like me?

That's something.

"DAYA!" Taffy snapped me outta ma trace.
"Whoa, what's got you thinkin' or should is say...who?" She purred.

I know if I confess I've been thinkin' 'bout Leslie, she's gon' get it the wrong way, tell the gurls and imma nah hear the end of it. I better cook something up.

"Nun, just thinkin' 'bout the apartment we need". I came up with a white lie.
"Well that my dear, I've got it well covered". She winked beamin' proudly.

"Really?" I could imagine myself movin' out of that hell hole. God! The joy it would gimme.

"Mmhhm. I contacted a friend and he offered a house his aunt was livin' in before she moved up to Miami." I nodded eagerly.

"So, I checked it out and had three rooms, a good bathroom, spacious kitchen and a perfect balcony." I laughed happily. It was more than I expected coz I was aimin' at a smaller apartment buh with this....

Its terrific!

"That's great Taf!" I exclaimed huggin' her tightly.
  "So how 'bout the price?"
"We lucky ole nigga was havin' a major crush on me so since his aunt left the house in his possession, he's ready to take any amount we ready to give."

Okay now that is the greatest news I've ever heard these past years.

"Oh gosh Taf! That's superb! Finally we movin' out". I squeaked huggin' her tightly.

Tears welled up my eyes imagin' myself finally free from mama, that matches box I call a room and that beast! I couldn't ask for more.

Oh Lord, thank you.
