Introduction

One-Shot. Short Story. Miscellaneous. Crossover. Long ago, four of the six categories were unaccounted for. Then, everything changed when the Super Mastermind Plan Alpha 8 kicked in. Only the Kyle, master of organized nonsense, could pull it off, but when the plan was about to activate, he vanished. Six days passed and he came back in a slightly new form, a form named Alpha. And although his writing skills are great, he has a lot to learn before he's ready to finish up the last category for the Pokemon Watties. But I believe form Alpha can wreck the competition.

Okay, now that we have the Avatar reference out of the way, welcome to Super Unit 21! I took a small hiatus of about 6 days to finish/start writing 4 entire stories to be entered into the Pokemon Watties! During this hiatus I didn't let myself have access to kik, Wattpad, and some other things, just so that I could focus on writing. I still haven't officially entered them for *cough* reasons *cough* mostly laziness, but they will eventually be entered! Well, he's some trivia about these four stories, as well as the upcoming sequel to WSGABATA.

Words Aren't Enough:

1. I had an idea for an original story like this about a month or two ago and I loved the idea. However I needed to find the "binding agent" between the child and parent, and that ended up being pokemon.

2. The chapters for this story average around 1400 words a piece, which is significantly shorter than my usual 2000 words. This may have ended up making it more fun to read, however.

Hero of Rota:

1. Alternating lines in the second and third chapters have matching syllable counts, but not in the first.

2. In the beginning of each chapter it says "O' great Mews of ___," which is a pun on citing a "Muse." Calling upon a muse is considered one of the three ways to start an epic.

3. The Red and Green princes get their personalities from Red and Green (the guy one).

Feint on Faint:

1. Alphys was going to have a second pokemon: Metagross. Having both Megaton and Metagross is a reference to Mettaton.

2. I freaking love Chapter 5 because of the battle scene in it. Absolutely crazy.

3. All of the pokemon have something to do with their trainers, such as Sans having a Dusknoir because it is the final evolution of Duskull, which has bones visibly in its design.

Pokemon Mansion Journals:

1. This one-shot makes the most sense if you've seen the extended beginning to the first pokemon movie.

2. I don't actually have a very good second piece of trivia for this one ;P

What's So Great About Second Love Anyways?:

1. If I do well with this story, there is actually an idea for a second sequel that wouldn't be told from Elron's POV and would be set in an entirely made up region (which is a lot of work), but would be more action filled and would still have the previous characters. Who knows if I'll actually end up doing it though!

2. Ira, one of the characters who will be in this story, got her physical appearance from a character named "Ako" from a show called "netoge no yome wa onnanoko ja nai to omotta" ("So you thought your internet game wife wasn't a girl?"), simply because that girl is way too cute. Coincidentally, I figured out that "Ira" is a Russian name, which is funny because Ako's boyfriend's online name is "Russian."

3. Expect the return of many of your favorite characters, including a certain stubborn old lady which you guys loved for some reason.

Character Interview Wall

Kyle: "I do not approve of this guest."

Kyke: "Hello! I am a separate entity now!"

Kyle: "Err yes, so apparently a misspelling of my name caught on, and now we have THIS!" *points to Kyke*

Kyke: *is picking nose* "Gages look cool. The bigger the better!"

Kyle: "As you can see, Kyke is stupid. Don't talk to Kyke and instead change the 'k' to 'l.'"

Lyle: "Like this?"

Kyle: "Nooo!!! Cursed logic loopholes! Quick! Let's get you two out of here! What's the capital city of Europe?!"

Kyke: "France!"

Lyle: "..."

Kyle: "...That was a trick question..."

Conclusion

To close out, I would like to share with you what it was like purposefully going on a hiatus:

The first one or two days were hard, but after that I was okay. I guess I just got comfortable with the fact that it would be a few more days before talking to everyone. I also kicked myself off of Youtube and anime for productivity reasons.

I always did 1-3 chapters each day. This was a TON of work, especially on days when my job interfered. It takes me 1.5 to 3 hours per chapter, normally closer to 3, so yeah. The two days when I did three chapters were ridiculous.

I did all of the covers for the stuff released on Friday, and made one for my Ace Attorney one-shot as well. I'm not usually a graphic artist (oops still need to draw up mascot) but I think they turned out well.

Determination, persistence, and refusal to give up. They mean virtually the same things, but this was what it took to pull this off. If you ever feel like giving up on a goal or slacking off on it, imagine your future success and play some fun music, it might help ;)

As referenced above, music is very important for productivity. I found out that fun, upbeat music with words was good for creativity and outlines, while calming, quieter instrumental music was good for actually getting stuff done.

When doing stuff like this, you do need recharge time. I found this through a game which I am now addicted to called "Stardew Valley" (at least watch the trailer it is AMAZING). I'll probably talk about this game more in the future because the story behind it and the game itself are worth sharing, for both fun and motivational reasons. Anyways, after writing my quota for the day I allowed myself to play this until midnight.

That's it for this week!
