"Grayson where were you all daaayyyy?" I had just stepped in the door and Hannah was here, nagging me already.

"I went to school today, kid" I patted her on the head and walked past her quickly.

"Grayson say hello to your little sister properly" my mother nagged and I sighed, crouching down.

Hannah Hugged me tightly, she barely came up to my waist.

"What'd you do all day gorgeous?" I smiled at her and She beamed at me

"I chased squirrels!" I looked at mom and she looked away, hiding her smile. Hannah wasn't supposed to Chase squirrels.. but mom let it slide a lot. I stood up slowly and began walking towards Tyler's office.

I walked in casually, not bothering to knock. He looked up at me and raised an eyebrow.

"I was expecting you earlier. There has been a group of rogue vampires making small kills in the city. I need you to do your job" he sounded angry.

I shrugged and sat down

"I go to high school now" he slowly stopped writing and looked up at me.

"What?" he sounded even more pissed.

I nodded slowly, smirking at him. It was time to have fun.

"Yeah, I'm going to high school now. All the same classes as Elizabeth you know?"

He cleared his throat and rubbed his eyes.

He stood up, clenching his fists.

"What are you up to? I've never seen you take such an interest in a human. Not since Haley, that is" my lips pressed into a tight line at the thought of Haley. Yeah, sure she was one of the fewer girls I took an interest in besides the whole 'blood thing' , but in the end she was just another deal.. a gamble... Just like the rest of them.

"Haley's long gone. As soon as I saw Elizabeth I knew she was something special. You caught on too, didn't you?"

I smirked at him and he glared

"I thought you could take a hint, Grayson. I practically claimed her" his voice hardened and I shrugged.

"She wanted the deal, so I gave her one. She's focused on her mate, pal." I turned to leave but felt my feet stop moving.

I groaned. "Really, tyler? going to use your superiority to make me stop walking?" I looked at him irritably and he snarled

"I want you to stay away from her"

I shook my head

"No I made a deal. I'm not breaking it." I tore from his mental hold and he looked at me in shock

"I'll kill you if you keep this deal with her" I paused at the doorway and glanced back.

"I'll put in a good word for you" I muttered and left.

"I'm going out I'll be back later" I called to mom, and she nodded, turning her attention back to her friends.

I got in my car and began driving, staring in the mirror.

Why was I concerned about my appearance?

I never have been before..

I was going to the 'double date' thing.
