Sorry for the delay
Enjoy (:
This is kinda a filler chapter.

It was finally morning but the last few hours seemed to drag by. I was tossing and turning all night. Morning? No, night. I'll call it night, even though I fell back asleep at 4 in the morning.
I just couldn't sleep thinking about how exciting things were getting around here. Grayson and I going to Paris! I can only imagine it. Plus with this new stranger showing up... I had a weird feeling about him. I sat up and checked the time. It was 11 now, I slept enough to be able to function for the day.

I crossed my arms and shuffled down the hall towards the stairs. It was unusually chilly so I kept on my long sleeve and sweatpants. I could hear faint talking mixed with the sound of my stomach growling. Nathan walked out of the kitchen looking annoyed

"Have you seen Morgan?" He growled immediately, catching me off guard.
"Um no I'm sorry I haven't. I just got up. Is everything okay?" I fiddled with my hands and avoided eye contact. He was really angry and it was making me nervous.
"No I just need to talk to her. If you see her tell her I'm looking for her. Even though she can probably hear me SINCE SHES A VAMPIRE AND HAS SUPER HEARING!!!!" He yelled the last part angrily before storming off. I flinched with each foot step and quickly darted into the kitchen.
"He's a pretty sight in the morning huh?" Stacey mused and shook her head.
"I feel bad for Morgan and whatever she has coming to her." I muttered and opened the fridge door.
"Oh good help yourself. I haven't seen you eat much since you got here." She motioned to the food cabinet as well.
"Thanks" I smiled at her and she nodded back.

"Have you seen Grayson?" I questioned as I pulled a carton of eggs out of the fridge.
"No, why? Does he look good today?" She gushed suddenly like some fan girl and we both stopped and stared at each other.

My stomach immediately turned sour with anger. It felt like flames were burning inside me.
"What?" I all but growled at her and her eyes widened as she blushed.

"Oh my god I-I-" she stammered and I felt my fist clench.

Wait why was my fist clenching? As if I would hit her?? She's a vampire for crying out loud!

Our eyes stayed locked as she stumbled over her words. She was so panicked.
"Stacey" I snapped angrily at her and she took in a deep breath.
"I'm sorry I Uh it's just I'm so used to flirting with him and joking about him I forget he has a mate and I just.." she trailed off and looked at the ground.

"Yes he does have a mate and its me" I spoke so sternly I almost didn't recognize my own voice. Stacey nodded slowly.
"I know that. I'm sorry" she whispered and clutched the back of the chair, like she needed support to stand. I sighed and relaxed a little, reverting back to my normal self.
"I'm sorry I don't know what came over me.." I trailed off and walked to the stove, setting down the eggs and dishes to help make them.

"No it's okay. You're going to react that way...he's your mate" she muttered the ending and I nodded.
"do you want any?" I offered as I began cracking eggs into the bowl.
She looked at me in confusion.
"Um well to be honest I'm not quite sure what it is you're making" she looked at the bowl curiously and watched as I cracked more in
"You what?!?" I shrieked and she jumped.
"Yeah I never heard of doing this" she laughed awkwardly and I gave her an excited look.

"Oh my gosh now you must have some. It's scrambled eggs. Never had it? Ever?" I pressed the topic and she laughed, shaking her head.
"Vampires don't go out of their way to eat human food" she laughed again and looked at me like I was crazy.
"You just sit down and I'll make it. You're going to love it" I swung my spatula at the kitchen table wildly and she sat down quickly.

"What a scary spatula wielding human you are" she teased and spoke as if I was a toddler. I laughed and got back to my cooking.

I heard the kitchen door slide open and suddenly felt arms go around my waist, making me jump. a sigh of relief hit my ear and I immediately relaxed.
"I didn't know you cook" Grayson mumbled against my ear and I nodded, trying to appear unaffected.
He gripped my hips and turned me around, flicking the stove off.
"Hey I wasn't-" my protest was cut off by him stealing a kiss.

I couldn't help but melt into him. He made me so happy.
"Want some?" I mumbled between kisses and he pinched my cheek.
"Yes my love" he sounded so sweet.
I finished making the eggs and made a plate for the 3 of us.

"Why is this so good" Stacey practically yelled and I laughed. Grayson nodded in agreement. My mom used to make this for Hannah all the time.

"Thanks" I laughed and couldn't help but smile at Grayson and he winked at me.
"I can't believe you've never had eggs before Stacey" I shook my head in disapproval and she shrugged.
"My family was never big into human culture" she mumbled with a mouthful of food.

Just then the kitchen door opened and Hayden walked in.
He gave us all a warm smile
"Smells great in here" he spoke awkwardly and I smiled back as nice as I could to make him feel welcomed.
"Want me to make some more?" I offered and stood up.

Grayson cleared his throat, sliding an arm around my waist.
"Hayden, right?" He questioned slowly and Hayden nodded.
"Yes." He spoke slowly, the room got a little tense.
"Is everything alright?" Hayden sounded concerned and Grayson was unphased.
"Yes of course" I chimed in and I moved toward the stove, stopping as Grayson gripped my waist tighter.

I looked back at him and frowned. He was so protective sometimes.
"It's okay I won't hurt her" Hayden spoke calmly and held his hands up, smiling.
"I've seen enough violence lately to want to hurt anyone. I can tell she means something to you, I don't want to hurt her" he sounded so sincere.

"Grayson really it's okay" I whispered to him. Why did I whisper? I don't know. They were all vampires and could hear me.
"She trusts me, why can't you?" Hayden spoke before Grayson could, they just stared at each other.

He loosened his grip on me and stood up straighter, his jaw clenched.
"You're still an outsider here. Stay in your lane. Stacey, watch him" he muttered while eyeing Hayden before he pecked me on the cheek and left the room.
Stacey let out a exasperated breath.
"He's on edge huh?" She laughed lightly, trying to lighten up the mood.

I nodded and walked over to the stove as Hayden hopped on the counter.
"I don't blame him. I'm an outsider, he's absolutely right. He's just being weary and a leader. He's protecting his coven."
I smiled at Hayden, appreciating his understanding.

After I finished making breakfast for every one I walked out into the foyer and towards Graysons office.
Hopefully he was in there so we could just be alone and talk.
I knocked quietly, and slowly opened the door.

"Grayson?" I walked in slowly and he was sitting at his chair looking frustrated but still smiled at me as I walked in.
I couldn't help but run to him, jumping straight into his lap and catching us both by surprise. He wrapped his arms around the small of my back and kissed my forehead.
"Show me affection" I whined and covered his face in kisses.
He laughed quietly and brushed my hair out of my face.
"So beautiful" he muttered to himself before pulling my face to his and kissing me long and hard.

Things got passionate and I ran my hands down his stomach and he gripped my waist tighter, his hands roaming up my stomach.
I wrapped legs around his waist and felt him getting harder against me and I couldn't help but blush and push myself harder against him.
This little trick caused him to bite my lip and moan quietly into my mouth.

He suddenly stopped pulled back, both of us breathing hard as things got more and more heated.
"What's wrong?" I spoke breathlessly, amazing how he affected me like this.
He held tightly onto me, keeping me up suspended in his arms with my legs around him and arms around his neck.

"Elizabeth I-" he looked at me seriously and looked nervous.
"What is it?" I felt nervous now. Did I do something wrong?

"Elizabeth I love you"
