I jolted awake, flailing my arms in terror I opened my mouth to scream but no sound came out. I simply sat there, tears streaming my face and my breathing was hard as I gasped for air.
I stayed in this position until the familiar warmth swept over me.
For the past 4 nights I've been having these night terrors... horrid dreams of people dying.. I cuddled into the warmth appreciatively and sighed as the tears were wiped from my face. Each night when I awake from these dreams a boy shows up and calms me down.
I'd like to think of him as Peter Pan almost..
sometimes I thought it was Grayson, but I shook the thought away quickly every time . All it did was bring me pain. I haven't seen him in 3 days... no contact.... nothing.
I turned on my side as the stranger stroked my cheek comfortingly.
Oh yeah sure I should be scared to death right now, but I wasn't. I trusted this 'being' whoever or whatever they were. I was probably just imagining it anyways.
"You're safe just close your eyes" he muttered and I sighed, drifting back into sleep.

"You look great!" Sadie exclaimed excitedly and I smiled at her. "Thanks" I muttered, examining my reflection. I was so grateful that my cousin was visiting right now.
I twirled at the mirror, my blue dress was tight on my body and came just above my knees, strapless and beautiful.
Tonight was the winter dance and Chase was supposed to be going and I planned on getting him.
"So this guy is your mate?" she sat on my bed and raised an eyebrow. I nodded slowly.
She frowned a bit "you don't seem so sure"
I sighed and sat next to her.
"I had met this one guy around the time that I found out Chase was my mate and I don't know it's just.." I trailed off and she sighed
"Humans don't feel the connection right away. And if somebody else comes along before you feel the connection, it can sever it. But another human wouldn't be able to destroy it... it would have to be another werewolf or a vampire or a fairy and so on."
My eyes widened "wait but can it be just any guy? what are the terms?" I spoke hurriedly and she laughed a bit
"Ok let's say that you met another werewolf that was attracted to you as well, and you began to like him all the while knowing Chase is your mate. Chase tried to reject you, correct?" I nodded
"Right so as long as that other guy had mutual attraction he could've destroyed your bond and a new one could've been formed. It's rare for humans, but it happens"
I nodded slowly. "What if it's a vampire?" she looked suddenly disgusted.
"Elizabeth!" she growled at me and I nodded slowly.
"Sorry" I muttered, Sadie was a werewolf so I knew this was a touchy subject to her.
She sighed
"We can talk about this tomorrow. You've got to get to the dance and I'm going out with your mom. Go go" she rushed me out the door and I was in the car in seconds.
My mom drove me to the school, I slowly got out and began nervously walking up alone. I walked into the doors and flinched at the blaring music, flashing lights and large crowds of people dancing. I walked along the wall, trying to maybe spot Chase.
