I sat patiently on the bed.. ok well maybe not patiently.. I really just stared angrily at the door. Engulfed in my own anger. That stupid dream wouldn't leave my head. Grayson still wasn't back either which let's face it, was driving me insane too.

I stood up and went to the door. Maybe he's here and just hasn't come up to see me yet..

The nightmare from last night was still fresh in my mind, so I needed to keep up my mind block like Stacey taught me. I slowly walked down the stairs, gripping the glossy wooden railing and taking each step gently as if it were going to be my last.

I heard familiar laughter, it was Grayson's. It wasn't too common for him to laugh so every time he did it stood out to me. Excitement filled me to be by his side again so I half ran cautiously down the rest of the steps, stopping abruptly at the bottom. I slowly walked forward, I felt my eyebrows go together in confusion. He was standing with a unfamiliar girl, his hand on her waist. She was laughing quite charmingly, her hand on his chest. She had medium length brown hair, she was quite short but curvy. She, like the other vampires, held herself in a confident manner.

She stopped and gazed up at him and he slowly looked to me. I felt my face flush, a new emotion filled my heart. Not jealousy... Could it really be? He left her side and walked to me, she looked at me in confusion. "hello" she spoke with uncertainty and I could've sworn that her eyes just changed from brown to black. Grayson looked at me happily "This is my mate, Elizabeth" I held my hand out for her and she hesitantly taking it, laughing nervously.

"I'm Keke..Wow Grayson a new mate, and she's a..." She couldn't seem to get the words out. "Human?" I finished her sentence for her and she smiled apologetically. "w-w-why aren't You with another human?" Grayson gave her a weird look, almost shocked.

"Keke could you not.." He trailed off and I shook my head, looking up at him. "No it's alright." I started off slowly and looked at her, smiling. "I'm a human but I plan on sticking around here for awhile.." I trailed off and she gave Grayson a confused look, scoffing.

"How long do you think that is? Grayson it's horrible that you have a human for a mate!" She spoke accusingly for some reason and he cleared his throat. "Keke that's enough. Elizabeth why don't we go upstairs-"

"wait" I cut him off as Sebastian and Nathan walked in with snacks, looking concerned. Just then Morgan and Stacey walked i with Thomas as well.

"What's so bad about me being Grayson's mate, just because I'm a human?" I practically cowered into graysons side when KeKe sneered. "Because one day you're going to grow old and die and chances are, Grayson will look maybe one year older than he does now"

"KeKe!" Morgan gasped sharply and I stared in shock. My chest suddenly tightened. She was right... one day I'm going to die. Grayson is going to have to watch me grow old and whither up and die. Tears immediately found their way to my eyes and I slowly backed up. They all stayed silent, just standing there. KeKe held her smirk and Grayson just stood there, staring at me blankly. I looked away and bit my lip, controlling my breathing that was steadily picking up in a sudden panic.

"I'm going to go for a walk" I muttered and walked to the kitchen, running through it once I was outside I ran off towards the woods.

Why didn't I think of that before? Grayson is a VAMPIRE! they live for hundreds and hundred of years, aging so slowly. I mean, Tyler was born in the like 1960s yet he seems hardly 21....

I walked slowly through the woods, ignoring how the cold was now stinging my face and I couldn't really feel my toes. The ground was damp and mushed under my toes. I loved it. After a few minutes of mindlessly walking I turned around and started to walk back, A boy appeared in front of me.
