I walked nervously with Grayson. I brushed my hand up against his and he grabbed mine, intertwining our fingers.
I blushed immediately and looked away.
We were walking down a street, just walking. There was no reason behind it... just.. enjoying our time together.
We still hadn't told tyler. Grayson saw no reason to, seeing as how tyler and I had broken up a week ago.
I smiled warmly at people that passed, it was Christmas time so I felt the urge to be cheerful.
"Why are you doing that?" Grayson's voice broke my thoughts and I looked up at him. I stopped walking at the crosswalk but he continued.
I grabbed his arm quickly as cars raced by "Grayson!" I gasped and he looked back at me, completely unaware that he was going to get hit by the countless cars. I pulled on his arm until he walked to me and he smirked.
"You can't just walk out in front of cars!" I whispered harshly as more people arrived at the corner waiting for the right of way.
He laughed, shaking his head "Elizabeth I'm a -"
"No" I cut him off using the tone that told him he was being reckless.
He simply laughed again, kissing me on the cheek.
"And what did you mean when you said 'why are you doing that'?" I raised an eyebrow and he nodded.
"Oh right. Why do you smile at everyone?" he seemed confused.
The crosswalk light turned green and we continued walking.
"Because I like to be nice to people"
He laughed at me again, shaking his head.
"That's cute". He muttered quietly.
We continued walking down the street, passing so many people.
I was beginning to notice Grayson's mannerisms. He was intensely watching them all, his eyes followed them as they passed.
"Grayson?" I looked up at him but he continued watching... It was almost a predator look.
It scared me.
"Grayson" I repeated his name and his eyes began moving quickly, scanning furiously for something. I turned and looked to the crowd, trying to see what he was seeing.
His eyes settled on a girl. She was quite thin, very fragile looking. She was tiny, really.
I looked up at him and his jaw clenched. He released my hand and he watched carefully as the girl approached us. She was holding shopping bags and seemed to be struggling with them.
"Grayson" I spoke firmly this time and he began walking towards her. I walked forward quickly and wrapped my arms around his waist.
"Grayson stop!" I whispered into his ear and he stopped, suddenly blinking furiously.
"Uh" he started and looked around.
I held onto him, people walking by simply smiled at our embrace.
I pressed my face into his neck and sighed out of relief. He slowly wrapped his arms around my waist.
I pulled away and looked up at him. His eyes were back to the comforting blue.
He looked around at all the people and sighed.
"Well at least I didn't kill anyone." He muttered and I frowned.
"What was that about?" I whispered. He kissed my forehead and grabbed my hand, ignoring the question he pulled me down the street.
We ended up going to my house to watch a movie. I was against it.. but he insisted.
