I shut the book before me and stood up with confidence, giving myself a reassuring nod.

We found out what coven Rebecca was from, well..I found out..and I was ready to question her. I needed to. I needed answers on the coven that killed that poor girls child.

I walked down the stairs to the cell room...who am I kidding this was a dungeon. Straight out of a horror film.

I zipped my jacket up, I had agreed with Xavier that it was best she didn't know I was pregnant... but now I knew that needed to change. Very soon. I wouldn't be able to conceal my stomach much longer anyways.

She looked up from her bed when she heard the heavy metal door slam shut. Sitting up quickly she gave me a devious smirk.

"You're alone? No body guard?" She mocked and I crossed my arms impatiently.

"You can drop this act, Rebecca." I spoke calmly and she rolled her eyes.

"I'm surprised they let you down here alone." She kicked her feet like a child, smiling to herself.

I pulled a chair up and sat before her cell bars.

"I've been looking into the coven you're from. Did you hear about what happened to Annalise?" I stared at her seriously and she stopped kicking her feet.

"A group from a coven in the north killed her child." I whispered quietly and her eyes widened. Good..just the reaction I expected.

"Your particular coven vowed by the spirits to keep the children born from natural magic holders and their mates safe." I started slowly and she stood up, seething now.

"I was supposed to be there!" She shouted angrily and I watched her pace.

"Damn it!" She ran her hands through her hair, shaking her head.

"I think that's why Tyler selected you, Rebecca. You're a strong witch." I kept my voice level, I needed her to trust me.

She scoffed and stomped a foot.

"That bastard told me I wouldn't have to hurt anyone. That I was just insurance!.." She hissed and I nodded.

"Turns out Tyler was conspiring with those witches to do what they did. He knew if your coven was missing it's strongest protector, Annalise had no chance of saving her baby. He wants to keep those children away." I explained my theory to her and her eyes narrowed.

"So what? What's your plan? You gonna get yourself pregnant so I have to protect you? by a loophole?" She crossed her arms and I smiled politely. Damn this girl was irritating. I stood up and unzipped my jacket, dropping it to the floor. Her eyes widened and she stared at me in shock.

"He wanted to use me to take you and your kid away" she whispered, her hand going to her mouth. I nodded, sitting back down.

"I think he was planning on using bean" I whispered and she sat down with a huff, mouth agape.

"Bean?" She looked at me now and I laughed quietly.

"That's just my nickname for it" I muttered and she sighed, still processing our findings.

"He has help then. There's more vampires with his ideologies." She rubbed her chin and I nodded.

"Gloria is still trying to figure that out" I muttered and she sighed.

"Well you've certainly got me at a stalemate here. So what, are you going to use me too then? So I can't be at home helping my coven?" She spoke with accusation and I shook my head.

"I want them to let you out. We got the information we need." I whispered and she looked at me suspiciously.

"What about my mate" she snapped and I frowned. We had no leads on that.
