Chapter 5:
Megan Dalton
So okay, here's the big deal.
I just woke up in a room wearing a hospital gown with a dirty blonde haired guy next to me. Well, not literally. He was seated in a chair, his head and arms resting at the side of the bed I was lying on.
By the looks of his hair, I came up with two conclusions.
It's either Roy Davis or Matt Hendricks.
But then I realized that he has a different shade of blonde apart from dirty so therefore I conclude that this guy is indeed the annoyance.
After all those mean words I told him, he's still here? Some attitude he has. He really won't give up? How can he not be annoyed by me? I'm doing my best to drive him away but... He's always going back.
I have a pressing need to pee. I wanna stand up, but I can't do it without waking Matt up. But I just really need to pee. So I lift my legs and place them one by one on the floor but a foot of mine decided against me and went psycho so it hit Matt's thigh. Yeah. You are such a failure, Megan. As a result, Matt sat up straight instantly, his hair sticking out in different directions, eyes wide enough so that an elephant could fit inside it. Nah, I'm joking. He looked at me like he just had a weird dream.
I just sat there for awhile, staring at this horrible excuse for a human being staring back at me like I just ate a boulder. I couldn't move myself nor say something productive. But eventually I regained my voice and croaked, "Hi."
He looked at me, dumbfounded. "You're awake."
I snorted, "obviously." but then that pressing need to pee came back and I bit the insides of my cheeks. "I need to pee."
"Let me help you!"
Wait, what was that, Matt?
"You're going to help me... pee?!" I said in disbelief. Gosh this boy!
"Help you stand up, Meg! God, sometimes I wonder what's circulating in that diluted brain of yours." He snickered.
"Shut up, Hendricks." I said, taking one step in the process but I fall miserably. Just as I was about to land on the concrete floor, Matt was quick enough to catch me. We stared at each other for some time. Gosh, those eyes. Those irresistible blue eyes of his.
Wait, what did you just think about, Meg? Those irresistible blue eyes of Matt? You can't fall for him. You can't let your guard down for this. He'll break you, just like how Roy broke you. Men. They're all the same.
But then what the actual hell is this excuse of a human being doing to me? Is he like, acting to be my knight in shining armor?
Excuse me, Matt Hendricks, Harry Styles took that place a long time ago. You have no place in my heart, neither does my life.
I broke our awkward gaze. "Errrr, what the fuck are you doing?"
"Just thinking of the final moment so that I could kiss my princess." He smirked at me and I stood up.
"I'm nobody's princess! Fuck off, Matthew!" I scoff and went to the bathroom. I heard him call, "I didn't even mean you, silly!" and he laughed so hard. I just rolled my eyes and did what I needed to do. Once I finished my business, I returned to the room and sat on the bed. Matt was seated on the seat beside me.
