07 | Dance Battle with a Bird

You had just finished up your work day as you walked down the stairs to your room. You stretched to release your sore muscles and instantly felt better. You walked into your room and closed the door behind you, quickly changing into your dancing clothes. You dyed all of your hair white this time and you had to admit it looked awesome. You tied your mask around your face and slipped on your F/C converse. You decided to go back to the dance club since Sans would most likely be there, plus, you loved that place.

You rushed upstairs and opened the back door, walking out into the alley. You ran down the alley and towards the direction of the club. You hoped you knew where you were going. You started to feel vibrations through the ground and stopped, trying to locate where they were coming from. You found it and ran in that direction, turning a corner to see the dance club up ahead. You grinned and ran towards it, seeing the colorful lights flashing around inside. You opened the door and walked in, instantly spotting your friends hanging out over by the couches. You walked over and sat down next to Alphys who had shown up. Undyne grinned at you and waved. "Nice to see you here again punk!" "Nice to be here." "OH! YOU HAVEN'T MET ALPHYS YET!" Alphys shrank into the couch, stuttering over her words. "I-I-It's okay Papyrus, I'm n-not that i-interesting." "OF COURSE YOU ARE! DON'T EVER LET YOURSELF THINK LIKE THAT!" You could hug Papyrus to death right now. He was being se sweet! You smiled at Alphys kindly. "It's nice to meet you Alphys. I'm Myst." Alphys smiled and adjusted her glasses. "N-Nice to meet y-you too!"

You felt a tap on your shoulder and turned around to see a blue hooded skeleton smiling at you. Sans stuck out his hand and pointed towards the dance flood. "care to dance?" You grinned. "Yeah, oh and sorry I ran off last night. I had to get back home." Sans waved off your apology and grinned, walking towards the dance floor. "you're fine, i do that sometimes too. by the way, is myst your real name?" You shook your head, a small smile on your face. "Nope." You poked his cheek. "And I'm not gonna tell you who I really am either."

Sans smirked and grabbed your hand, pulling you into the dance floor. You smiled and danced with Sans, letting your body take over and do its own thing. You saw Lily standing on the other side of the dance floor with a shocked and furious look on her face. Just to play with her, you gave her a quick smug grin before she glared and stomped over to you. Everyone stopped dancing as they watched the scene unfold.

"I challenge you to a dance off!" Lily shouted, glaring at you. Geez calm down. You smirked at her and rested a hand on your hip. "I accept." The crowd of dancers backed up to let you and Lily have the dance floor. The blue robot, know as 'Napstabot', cut off the music and smiled down at you two. "Okay, here are the rules. You both have to continuously dance while trying to take the other one down. What I mean by that is that you have to get them on the floor. Simple right?" You both nodded, Lily ruffling her feathers in agitation. Napstabot smiled and played a song. "Let the dance off begin!" Lily smirked and crackers her knuckles. "Let's see how well this mystery girl can dance." You smiled at her, a glint of mischief in your eyes. "You're about to see."

You listened to the song, tapping your foot to the beat. Lily was doing the same when she started to move. She seemed to be dancing hip hop, making swift movements just to taunt you. You started to dance as well, waiting for the perfect moment until you would strike. You swung your hips and dropped to the floor, doing the windmill. Lily glared at you and ruffled her feathers, putting more effort in her dancing. You hopped back onto your feet and made a few swift moves as the music got louder. Lily started to move towards you, unaware of what you were planning.

You grinned at her as the beat got louder. "You messed with the wrong girl." Lily looked at you confused then her eyes widened when you sprang forward as the beat dropped. You swung your legs out, causing her to stumble. She caught herself by doing a handspring, landing on her feet easily. The crowd cheered and watched as you and Lily danced around each other, trying to get the other one down on the floor. Lily sprang towards you and grabbed your arms. She used her feet to fling you behind her but she hissed when you did an ariel flip and landed on your feet, posing. The crowd cheered as you smirked at her, moving towards her while dancing a few of your original moves. The beat picked up and you slid towards her, locking her arm with yours making her stumble back. She unhooked her arm and spun towards you, getting ready to flip you over. You summersaulted backwards and avoided her grasp, smiling as you did so. You could hear the crowd going wild behind you, cheering you both on. You could see Alphys, Papyrus, Undyne, Frisk, Mettaton, and Sans cheering you on as well, despite Lily being Sans' girlfriend. When Lily came close, you spun away from her and swung your hips, sending your leg sweeping under her's and causing her to fall backwards. You caught her arm and pulled her up, spinning her around so that she'd get dizzy. When she stopped spinning, you grabbed her arms pinned them behind her back, making her stumble and slump to the floor.

The crowd went wild as Napstabot declared you the winner. Lily growled and shot up, pulling away from you, glaring. "You little–" "THAT WAS AMAZING! WOWIE!" Lily was cut off by Papyrus who raced towards you, your friends behind him. You grinned at him then gasped as he pulled you into a death grip hug. "Papy darling she can't breathe." "OH, SORRY MYST." He set you down as you wheezed, trying to get air back into your lungs. "Punk that was awesome!" "Y-Y-Yeah! I've n-never seen s-s-such skilled d-dancing!" You smiled at their compliments, finally getting air back into your lungs. Sans smiled at you and glanced over at Lily who was busy fuming. "you got moves kid, that was pretty impressive."

You beamed at his compliment then realized how long you had been here. You looked at your watch and cursed. "Sorry guys, I gotta go, I'll catch you later." You waved goodbye to everyone then headed for the door. A skeletal hand grabbed your arm and you turned towards Sans. "could we maybe go back to the clearing tomorrow?" You smiled at him. "Sure, see ya' later bonehead." Sans chuckled as you walked out of the club. "yeah, see ya'."
