Taehyung was elated to have seen the boys' messages on the screen of his phone.

He doesn't know what had gotten into them. The chat would normally be quiet when they were together. That didn't change just because Taehyung wasn't around. However, now...

But Taehyung wasn't complaining. He was just surprised. In fact, he was ecstatic about a simple thing such as this.

Bangtan Boys:

Jimin: Tae Tae~ how's the shooting going?

Jin: Jimin, don't bother the guy. He's shooting for goodness' sake.

Jimin: But hyung, it wouldn't hurt to read and reply my message.

Jin: Taehyung-ah, ignore Jimin and do your very best over there!

Yoongi: You guys do realize that phones are to be switched off during a drama shoot, right?

Jungkook: Ahahah xD. Taehyung-hyung would probably laugh when he reads this.

Namjoon: Guys! Bang PD-nim is coming in 3 minutes! Pretend to be practising!

Namjoon: And Taehyung, make me proud~

J-Hope: We can just tell him that we're only taking a break....

Namjoon: Remember when we used that excuse the last time?

J-Hope: ...

J-Hope: Anyway... TAEHYUNGIE BUY US ICE CREAM ON YOUR WAY HOME! <3<3<3

Jungkook: I want chocolate, hyung!!!!

Jin: I'm pretty sure he knows what you want, Kookie. You always buy chocolate.

Jungkook: Jin hyung doesn't want ice cream *smirk smirk*

Jin: Yah! I never said anything!

Yoongi: You guys do know that you're in the same room together, right? Which means you don't have to argue through the chat, right?

Yoongi: Bang PD-nim will come up behind me when I enter so get your asses up and stop messing around. I don't want to be scolded again...

Yoongi: By the way, Taehyung, help me get coffee as well. Thanks!

Jungkook was right, Taehyung was cracking up.

He had finished filming and was bidding his goodbyes to the directors and all the staff as he entered the car. His manager was already inside.

Their driver, Hooshik-nim, smiled at him and pulled out of the driveway.

"Manager hyung, can we stop by the store for a while? Hoseok hyung asked me to buy them ice cream," Taehyung asked excitedly, making the man laugh.

"Sure, Tae. You did a good job today! I'm so proud of you. You finally finished shooting the drama. The director had been praising you too."

Taehyung thanked the man and occasionally made small talks with him as he drifted in and out of sleep.

The drama set today had been a two hour long drive away from the practice studio.  In the second hour, Taehyung was awoken by someone opening his side of the car.

"Taehyung- ah," the manager had a soft smile on his face. "I'll drop by the store for you instead."

Taehyung was about to protest but his manager seemed to have predicted it coming.

"Stop being stubborn and just listen. You need to rest. You look like you're about to die right now," the man chuckled. "I'll be fine on my own. And plus, I have to run an errand anyway. Hooshik-nim would be driving you back to the dorm first so that you can shower. I'll pick you up again then we'll go to the practice studio together, okay?"

"Okay," Taehyung nodded.

He smiled to himself as the car pulled out of the curb.

He could finally see good things happening. It was his last day of drama shooting today. His hyungs, Jimin and Jungkook had seemed to have forgiven him for what happened last night too. He was happy. And now he was on his way to the dorm to get freshened up so that he could finally spend time with his beloved members.

He was looking forward to seeing them, talking to them, and he could barely wait. He was restless in his seat and Hooshik-nim found him to be blooming with so much glee for the first time since he started driving the boy back and forth to his drama sets. The boy's happy vibe was rubbing off on him.

Everything was going well. Everything was fine. Taehyung could finally take comfort in the boys' warmth.

But fate had its other plans- as if it has a grudge on him.

The light was green.

The car Taehyung was in was supposed to safely pass the traffic light smoothly.

It was their lane's turn to move.

But the truck from the perpendicular lane was in a bit of a rush.

Taehyung had heard its booming long honk.

He had turned to see its headlights moving way too fast towards his direction.

His eyes had gone wide and before he could move a distance from the door to lessen the impact, it was already too late.

The enormous truck had smacked straight to his side of the car, causing it to rotate a couple of times before it hit another victim.

All Taehyung felt then was the sharp pain that shot across the right side of his body; first was his head that hit the glass of the window, second was the metal door seeming to have been torn upon impact and had its metal piece impaling his side, third was the shards of glass that had stuck itself deep into his shoulder and neck. Last was the sickening snap his neck had made. All of which happened simultaneously, deeming him unconscious immediately.

Chaos was how it was described. And Taehyung had been directly struck by it.
