When the members decided that they'd wait for Taehyung no matter how long it takes or no matter if he didn't at all, they didn't exactly mean that they won't step in when the boy was clearly ruining himself.

For days, they've seen a change in Taehyung. And truthfully, who wouldn't change after going through all that shit? But the change in Taehyung wasn't healthy.

For days, they watched the boy slowly become closed off. Slowly, they saw how little by little, Taehyung was becoming unrecognizable. They didn't want that to happen. Not at all. And they doubt, just by looking at the boy's eyes, that he wanted that to happen too.

So when Yoongi stormed out of that room, it was to cool himself off before he could punch the old Taehyung back out of that stranger lying on that bed.

Even when he heard the others calling after him, he didn't stop or even glance back.

He was so mad that he could punch anyone who so much as looked at him.

He's mad that Taehyung got into an accident. Mad that the boy had to go through all these. His mad that Taehyung was being stupid and mad that he doesn't know half the shit going through the kid's head. His mad at himself for being hopeless and clueless. Mad at that drunk driver who caused all these. Most of all, he's mad that Taehyung is suffering and he couldn't even do anything about it but be mad and sulk about it.

For all he knew, the kid might even wish he'd just died on the night of the accident just to end all his suffering.

"Hyung! Stop!" he felt a hand grab him by the shoulder and spun him around to face the group. "Did you really have to storm off? Was that really necessa-"

J-Hope stopped halfway once he saw tears rolling down Yoongi's cheeks.

All of them understood why he was crying. It didn't even came as a surprise that the usually emotionless Suga could shed tears in front of people anymore.

They understood Yoongi's tears the most.

"Waiting is bullshit at this point," was all his hyung said before they threw themselves at him for a much needed group hug.

Yoongi wasn't much for hugs. He'd rather avoid them really. But when the situation calls for it, he gives and accepts them freely.

Namjoon and Jungkook could say the same.

"What do we do now, hyung?" Jimin asked a minute into the group hug.

"We'll fix it, ChimChim," replied Namjoon. "We'll definitely get this right this time."

"And we can't do that anymore tonight," the eldest spoke sternly. "We all need some time to cool down before we dig ourselves any deeper to our own destruction. And I think Taehyung needs time too."

The leader looked at Jin knowingly.

"Like what Jin hyung said, we go home to cool off."

"But-" J-Hope wanted to protest but he was cut off.

"As much as all of us wants to apologize for the hurtful words we've said, we can't do that right now when we aren't thinking straight. If we are to go back in there and try to fix what we've said and done, we might make it even worse. Right now, what's best for all of us is to just go home, eat and rest."

"Hyung..." Jungkook finally spoke, voice shaky.

Everyone turned to their maknae who had a tear streaked face.

"Taehyung hyung said he-"

"He didn't mean it, Kookie," Jimin ruffled his beloved maknae's hair. "TaeTae didn't mean a word he said."

"Are you sure...?" Jungkook cutely asked, rubbing his eyes to try and stop the tears.

"Yes. He's our Tae. I know him. We all know him. He wouldn't say that to us with meaning, Kookie-ah."

Even as that was said and all of them nodded in agreement, they couldn't help but feel hurt that Taehyung pushed them away. That he had said words that were uncalled for. Even when they knew he didn't mean them.

And Taehyung probably felt the same. Hearing those words come out from their mouths and directed to him must have hurt him a lot as well.

But none of them could help it. They were angry. Even at that moment, they were still angry.

"It's okay, Guk-ah," Yoongi coolly sniffled, patting the maknae in the back. "We all didn't mean what hurtful things we said either."

"Yeah," J-Hope agreed. "It was the heat of the moment."

"And I'm ashamed it happened," Jin added.

"Come on," Namjoon urged the group forward. "We'll check on him the first thing tomorrow, okay?"

And the leader hoped, that when they do check on Taehyung tomorrow, nothing would go wrong. That there will be no bitter feelings and angry words said. That it'd be all apologies and they'd be able to set things straight and right. That they'd be able to finally build understanding between all of them.

Oh how hopeful he was.
