'Taehyung, what are you dreaming about now?' Namjoon asked himself as he looked at the sleeping boy.

The boys were all asleep in the room, him being the only one awake.

Namjoon feared that Taehyung was dreaming about being alone.

Namjoon knew that Taehyung hated being alone the most. The boy practically screamed attention from them all the time. Or at least desired some form of contact from them.

Namjoon didn't want to admit it but he was aware that he'd been pushing Taehyung away for days before this whole accident. He was aware that the others have been doing it too. The boy had been honestly bugging them to spend some time with him- time that they didn't have (or at least they thought they didn't).

As the leader, Namjoon was ashamed. But as a friend, brother or whatever, he felt disappointed with how he had treated Taehyung, whom he saw as a brother he would never have. He had taken Taehyung for granted and now he was in a critical condition.

Every time each one of them spoke to Taehyung in his sleep, they were always answered with silence. Silence wasn't him at all and that dug holes in their hearts each time.

Namjoon finally got a taste of his own medicine and it was killing him. Was this what Taehyung felt like all the times they rejected and ignored him? Surely he'd felt lonely every time he went to his drama set.

The doctors had said that it might have got something to do with the fact that Taehyung had hit his head real hard during the accident but it was just a hunch. Other than that, Taehyung should have woken up days ago. His brain showed constant brain activity. That had got to be a good sign, right?

The boys convinced themselves and each other that their Tae would wake up soon. That they could finally apologize for what they've done and that everything would go back to how it was before. But as days passed by, they became more and more anxious. More and more desperate to see Taehyung awake and fine.

They desired to see his eyes open. To have him reply to them when they talk to him. To hear him sing along to the songs he blasted through his phone, be as loud as he can be. Even have him drag them wherever he wanted to go. They just wanted everything to go back to how it was before- with a healthy and lively Taehyung. Not like how lifeless he looked like in that hospital bed.

That's why there's no way in hell would they leave the boy alone ever again. They've been doing that for days before the accident despite knowing how much the boy wanted attention. So they refused to leave his side. For fear that he slips again and never come back.
