With another card in his hand, Jin walked into the hospital with the rest of the boys.
They've been dilligently waking up early in the morning with a card already written and prepared in one of their bags for the past few days. However, all of them over slept that day. Jin always thought that he and Jimin could never sleep through seven sets of alarm clocks like how the others could but he was proven wrong.
For the days that they've been sending Taehyung stuffed toys and hand written messages in cards, they've never missed a day to visit him although no one was still allowed into the room.
They would sit outside Taehyung's room and talk quietly amongst themselves. As boring as that sounded, not one of them really minded. At this point, all they cared about was Taehyung and his well-being.
They would stay there until someone (who was most of the time their manager) would shoo them off back to their dorms or dragged to a restaurant of some kind to ensure that they were eating well and taking care of themselves as well. They didn't even care about the fact that Taehyung and BTS were trending on various social medias. The sasaeng fan incident still made their blood boil but their manager and Bang PD-nim managed to convince them that they would take care of the case.
That day was not any different.
As they walked past the information counter, the nurse whom they've come to know as Mrs Woo called out to them with a smile.
She had been the one who had been helping them take care of Taehyung and doing their favours.
"Good morning, Mrs Woo," they greeted back in unison.
"We're rather late today," she remarked as she walked along side them towards the lift.
"Ne, we over slept," Namjoon replied sheepishly.
She chuckled. "I'm guessing you have a message to give to Mr Kim?"
All of them laughed and nodded.
When the elevator doors opened, it revealed that it was packed full, and so Jin passed the card to her and asked if she could pass it to him once more. Of course she accepted with a smile and entered the lift seeing as only one more person could fit in.
The boys waited for another lift in silence, swimming in their own sets of thoughts.
All of them were extremely eager to see Taehyung but the boy would have to get better first, better enough so that they could be allowed in his room once again.
They've also been longing to hear his voice. It didn't even have to sound energetic and loud. Heck, it didn't even have to be a sentence or a phrase! A word would be enough. It could be incoherent noises too, as long as it came out from the boy's mouth.
The elevator behind them tinged as it signalled its arrival on the floor they're in. In they came once it opened and revealed that it was empty.
In the silence of the lift, Jungkook sneezed, not once but twice.
"You okay, Kookie?" Namjoon asked.
The boy all but nodded and pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance.
"Someone's perfume stinks," he grumbled under his breath.
The complaint made all of them laugh.
The maknae is known for his sensitive nose so it was only expected that the boy would be appalled by the strong scent of perfume stuck in a tiny space such as a lift.
If Taehyung was there, his laughter would have been the loudest amongst them all.
Suddenly, the atmosphere around them became gloomy at the thought of him.
