Pain.

That was all Taehyung felt. Particularly, at his side. His head was pounding just as strong too. His neck hurt although he didn't move. Heck, breathing was painful and his throat was dry. Was he even breathing? He didn't feel like he was. Almost as if his lungs were numb. Was he dead? No, it can't be since he feels pain.

It seemed like it took him hours to hear the crying and sniffling surrounding him. Who was crying? Why are they sad?

He tried to lick his lips but he didn't seem to have the energy. Plus, it felt like there was something in his mouth that seemed to be giving him air. What was it?

Suddenly, he became too aware of the weight on his left hand. Someone was holding it.

He squeezed lightly, not having enough energy to do it completely.

The crying suddenly stopped, coming with silence.

Then, as if Taehyung had been underwater all along, noises became clearer and he could hear properly.

"H-hyung?"

He recognized that voice.

Kookie? Was that Kookie? Kookie's crying?! Why?!

"What is it Jungkook?" Jin asked. When the younger didn't give a reply, he tried the other. "Jimin?"

Taehyung almost flipped but he couldn't exactly move. His hyung sounded broken too. Was he crying too?! Why?!

"Hyung squeezed my hand. It was light but hyung squeezed my hand!" Jungkook sounded happy all too suddenly.

"Tae Tae?" Jimin sniffled and Taehyung felt his best friend's arm touching his shoulder, tapping it lightly.

Jiminie? Why are you crying too? Why's everyone crying? Wait, Namjoon hyung and Yoongi hyung are crying too? Even Hobi hyung?! Why?! What's going on?

"Taehyung, can you hear us?" Namjoon was the one to ask next.

By the sounds of Namjoon, Taehyung confirmed that he was crying too.

His members were crying.

He had to see them and ask them what's wrong. He had to.

He tried to open his eyes but his lids were too heavy somehow. He tried again and this time he managed to but soon closed it shut as an intense light hit it. It made his eyes sting but he tried again.

"Oh my- Tae Tae!" Jimin almost squealed.

Everyone seemed to be panicking. Why? Because Taehyung was finally awake.

Seeing their friend's eyes flutter open made their hearts jump out of its cage.

A surge of happiness overcame everyone, and this time, as a new wave of tears overcame them, it was of joy and not regret and sadness.

Taehyung was awake. Taehyung was finally awake.

"Hyung! You're awake! Oh my- you're awake!" Jungkook was wiping at his face with his famous gummy smile plastered on his lips.

Taehyung missed Kookie.

Missed? Where did he go? Taehyung was confused.

"Taehyung-ah, I thought you wouldn't wake up," Hobi was bawling.

Tae wanted to comfort his hyung and ask him not to cry and that everything will be alright but he didn't have the energy. He could only stare.

Everything hurt.
