Chapter 15 Driver's Ed

Farkle's POV:
Ever since Maya and I started dating, I've convinced her to take driver's ed classes. Today is the day before her driver's test. We walked to my car to go McDonald's. She begged "Can I please drive your car? Please!" Who can say no to her? We switched sides. I put my seat belt on and pray. Maya, please don't kill me. Or yourself. I have faith on you.
She started the car and we drove away. I was so surprise she was good at it. Maybe she was even better than me. When there was a red light, Maya passed it. I yelled "Maya, you're supposed to stop when it's a red light!" She said "It doesn't matter. It was one mistake. No one saw it anyway." Are you kidding me? What if we got arrested? I didn't want to tell her that because she'll get mad at me. Maya even went over the speed limit. I yelled at her again, but she ignored me. I heard police sirens. Oh no! What if we actually get arrested? The sound kept getting louder. Before I know it, a police car was behind us. I said "Pull over." Maya pulled over. We quickly changed spots. An officer said "May I see your license?"
Maya's POV:
Farkle shows his license. "This is it." The officer nodded his head and was writing something down. He gives Farkle a ticket. "Kid, be careful next time. Driving a car is harder than a go-cart." I apparently didn't know that. I said "Thank you." He squinted his eyes at me. "Why didn't you listen to me?" I sighed. "I'm sorry. I didn't think this would happen." I'm so stupid. He said "I care about you. We could've been in a car accident. Just, don't do that again... including your driver's test." He hugged me. I felt like Farkle was so worried about me. He got in trouble for me. I mean I would have gone to jail. I just knew then he would fix me every time I was broken.
