Farkle's POV:
Maya and just have been dating for fifteen weeks now. I want to take a big step in our relationship. But Maya's not ready. So we have been baby steps.
I have always felt guilty about making Smackle break up with me. She didn't really do anything wrong. I mean if Maya never confessed her feelings to me, I would probably still be with her. I want to make amends with Smackle. I miss her being my enemy. We just have to talk things out, and bam! We'll be enemies again.
I called Smackle on my phone. Pick up, pick up, pick up. "Farkle? Um.. hi." I said "Hi Smackle." This is awkward. C'mon Farkle. Do something. "We haven't talked in a really long time. I feel bad. What happened to us?" "Well you see, now you're with Maya. I don't think I could handle that." I sighed. "Look I just want to be enemies again. Remember the old times?" She said "Of course I remember. But I feel like it won't same. We've all changed. I still have feelings for you!" I rolled my eyes even though she's not seeing me. "Smackle, I don't have feelings for you. I'm sorry I don't feel the same way. Can we at least be friends?" It took her minute to finally say "Fine." Before I hung up I said "By the way, I am begging you to not kiss me again. You're the reason why Maya broke up me." She laughed. "Maya's the reason why I broke with you. I'm not mad anymore. I just wanted to point that out! Bye Farkle." "Bye."
Maya's POV:
Farkle told me I should forgive Zay. He already made amends with Smackle. I don't think I should forgive Zay personally. But I told Farkle I would do it. How could I forgive someone who tried to force me to do something? It was harassment.
I called Zay on my phone. Don't pick up, don't pick up, don't pick up. "Hello?" "Hi Zay!" I paused. This is weird. "Um.. We haven't talk in a while. I wish we were still friends." He answered "I don't think we should be friends again. I like the way things are right now." Really? "What are you talking about?" Zay sighed. "I love you, but you obviously don't love me back. You're in love a nerd, instead of a jock like me. You're in love with Farkle. Why not me? Please make me understand." I can't believe this is happening. He doesn't understand at all. "Zay, you deserve way better than me. I'm not worth fighting for. Someone already won me over. You can't force love. It just doesn't work like that. Someday, there's going to be a girl for you. I know it. Time is ticking. Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick-tock." We both laughed. "Thank you Maya." "No problem. Friends?" "Yeah, friends."
