My Boss [COMPLETED]

Chapter 14: It's on

A week had passed by after the incident with Roman happened. The next day after that everything went back to normal.  

Except Roman was the rude Mr.knight everybody talked about. Me and him were no longer... anything, he was my boss and I was his assistant. It was as if nothing had happened but stuff did happened. 

I never took off the necklace even though he told me too i didn't listen to him, I kept it on. I saw him glance on it from time to time but he never said a word. As for me and Ray we were fine.

we stopped sleeping together but me and him were cool. My birthday is tomorrow and I still have to find a way to get Tracy and Josh together.

"So Bruce isn't coming?" belle asked. I told her about me and josh's plan she was all in for it. "No he's not, David said he can keep him longer...did you know Bruce is actually really good at his job" I told her while putting my strawberry chap stick on.

She nods "Yes he may be a dick but he is one hell of a worker, he can even have his own business if he wanted to"

I nodded in agreement. We were at my office for our lunch break. Tracy of course at the cafeteria with Bruce and James.

"Oh belle! what happened with you and James? Are you guys together or what?" I ask out of curiosity.

She sighs a deep sigh and shakes her head "after the night at the club he hasn't said anything to me...i don't know maybe he doesn't like me the way I like him"

I look at her sadly and rub her shoulders "aw bell it's okay...maybe You're the own who has to make the move. It's 2018 girl! Us girls got to do the moves now" she smiled at me. "Fine but at your party" I smile at her.

My phone for work rang. I got off the couch and answered it. "Miss carter speaking" I said to the phone. "To the office" Roman says and hangs up. I try my best not to roll my eyes and walk towards belle.

"I'll be back, your royal highness is calling me " she chuckles and goes on her phone while i leave the room to go see roman.

"yes Mr.knight" i said like a perfect little assistant. he glared at me and motioned with his hand for me to sit down.

i sat down crossing my legs and started to play with the necklace. it was a habit of mine now to always touch it.

he glanced at it and looked away. "you have to set up a meeting with the Chinese again, they want to speak to your boyfriend about the company"

i clenched my jaw. "he's not my boyfriend" i hissed. he shrugged " just arrange for the meeting and let Ray know" he says and goes on his computer.

whenever he acts like this, i want to grab him by the neck and strangle him till he can't breathe anymore. wow Rachel that was violent.

i got up and left the office sighing. i plopped myself next to belle. "what's wrong? what did he do now?" she asked concerned.

i sighed and ran my hand through my hair. "he's just---i miss him" i admitted to her. she nods and put's her arm around my shoulder. "i know honey but maybe this is the best, seeing how you work for him"

i nod "yeah i know but i really want him at my party, i'm turning 29! i want him there" she nodded while hiding her lips.
