Chapter 16: Setting up

Once Roman dismissed me to go home. i walked quickly to the elevator. stopping at Tracy's floor. i knock on her boss's door. "Miss Carter hello" Miss peach said. she was an older lady. she had short black hair but it had grays coming out from her roots. she was the nicest lady boss i have ever met. she was the head of the beauty place. The Knights company isn't just about what Roman and Ray do.

Roman and Ray expand companies and buy other companies to make it better. to improve it. so if you want to deal with the big stuff like money, building and expanding companies you go to them. The rest of the floors is basically head quarters for other companies. Companies like fashion nova, h &m, Macys. Clothing stores like that. There's a floor for real estate. Bruce works on that floor.  

There's a floor to help immigrant's. A beauty floor which is where Tracy works. A Pharmacy floor. A floor for magazines like people magazine, time, women health, men health, celebrity gossip. pretty much every magazine in the world is on that floor. Some models from the magazines would sometimes come here. Celebrities too. 

There's a floor for education as well. it's like the place where people go to talk about how to improve the system in school and some principals will come for meetings with other principals.

The lobby and the cafeteria is my favorite floors. The lobby because I can talk to Belle. she sees who comes in and who comes out. she has the view for everything, she knows every gossip in the company. she's nosey.

i smile at miss peach "hi miss peach, i was wondering where Tracy was" she smiled back at me and points to the makeup room. "I asked her to make sure none of the products were damaged" i nod at her and walk towards the makeup room.

"Tracy" i called out. "I'm here!" she yelled back. i follow the sound of her voice. she was on the floor fixing the lip glosses. "here, i got this one for you. it's a pinkish reddish lip gloss it's so cute" she hands me the lip gloss. i grab it "aw my first birthday present, thank you" i tried on the lip gloss.

"wow! this is gorgeous...it taste like strawberries! Tracy kiss me" i said and puckered my lips. she laughs Swatting me away like a fly "get away weirdo" i chuckle and bend down on the floor with her "so you and Bruce, tell me what's the tea with him?"

she sighs and stopped fixing the lip gloss. "he's hiding something, but i don't know what" i took my hair out from the ponytail it was in. "okay? do you think he's cheating?" i asked while brushing my hair with my fingers.

"no it's not that" she hands me a hair brush. Convenient.  i started to brush my hair. "i think it's a secret like maybe about his family or something" "why do you think this?" i ask, handing her back the brush after i was done. she sighed again and got up to put the lip gloss box back on the rack. "because i asked when i could meet his parents and he got all sensitive about it"

i chuckled softly "Tracy its been 2 months since you guys started dating. maybe he wants to wait till like...4 months or something" she groans "but he met my mom! so i don't get why i have to wait to meet his" i sigh and stood up patting her shoulder.

"darling just give it time I'm sure when he's ready you will meet them. besides he's probably not the one for you" i mumbled the last part so she didn't hear me. she sighed "yeah you right...why did you come here anyway? don't you have to work?" i chuckled evilly at her.

"i got the day off and so do you and belle so let's get outta here and prepare for my party!" she laughs "oh Rachel what am i gonna do with you"

Me and the girls were at the club when the manager Brian walked in. "hello girls" "hey Brian" the girls said together in a flirty tone. i roll my eyes at them. Brian was cute not gonna lie, but i have enough boys in my life.
