Chapter 20: Teasing

Roman's P.O.V

i ran my hands over my face and groan. i was in bed right now exhausted. since Rachel took off from work yesterday, i had to do everything myself, and let me tell you. Rachel's job is not easy.

Maybe i should take it easy on her because all those damn papers i had to do was ridiculous, i don't know how she get's them done.

i got off my bed and walk towards the bathroom and took a quick shower. "Mr. Roman?" My maid maria called out from the room. "I'm in the shower maria!" i called to her.   

"sorry to bother you Mr. Roman but you have a visitor" she replied with her thick Spanish accent. Maria was a immigrant she was still getting used to speaking English, i told her she can speak Spanish but she insisted on speaking English.

"who is it?" i ask while taking out the soap from my hair. "it's some man he said he's a friend of your fathers" i groan.

"do i let him in?" she questions. i sigh "yeah let him in" i know who this guy is and he was no friend. His name is Will Powell, he's been trying to take over the company since his failed.

I turn off the shower and wrap the towel around my waist. stepping out the bathroom, i dried my hair with another towel while i walked downstairs. "ah hello Roman, you've grown" Will said while I approach him. 

i sigh and put the towel i used to dry my hair over my shoulder. "what do you want?" i asked impatiently. he put his hand up in surrender. "i come in peace, i just wanted to ask you if you can set up a meeting with me and your father" i shook my head while going to the kitchen to get a cup of orange juice. "no" i simply said.

he huffed "come on, i promise i won't do anything funny" When I didn't respond he continued on talking "its about my company, i want to start another one but i have no idea how and i was hoping your father could help me since he has like 6 of them"

i clench my jaw. "why do you want to start another company? the other one failed you want to fail this one too?"

he shook his head and stepped closer to where i was which was near the refrigerator. "no son...i want to start fresh and this new company that i plan on bringing up to the world would be so successful that your fathers will go down." i roll my eyes and sipped my juice before saying.

"good luck with that, i will be giving my father a call but Will you won't succeed." he clenched his jaw. "i will, watch me" he walked away with Maria showing him to the door. i rolled my eyes and sighed. "maria I'm gonna go get ready for work, take a break go visit your niece" i tell her while i walk upstairs.

"thank you Mr. Roman" she replied. Maria was a good maid an excellent one. she has been working for me for 4 years now. she has a niece here who's 14. sometimes Maria brings her here to hang out while her mother works.

i took off the towel and started to get dressed for work.

"Good morning Mr. Knight" Belle said while i walked past her. i nodded once to her and continued to the elevator. usually i would be here before belle but since William came to bless me with his presence i got here later than expected.

Tracy one of Rachel's friends walked into the elevator with me. "Good Morning Mr. knight" she smiles. "morning" i replied. After a few moments of awkward silence, she cleared her throat "can i ask you a romantic Question?" i tried to hide my awkwardness. "um, sure" it sounded more like a question then an answer.

she sighed she was obviously embarrassed to ask me. "well I'm seeing this guy---well he's my boyfriend, but I'm growing an attraction to someone else who treats me the way my boyfriend should treat me. but me and my boyfriend went through a lot of stuff together and me and this new guy we kind of just met and got to know each other better at Rachel's birthday party.
