Chapter 36: Putting the phone back

"You get the plan?" I ask Ray while we walk to Roman's office door. He nods "yeah I get it, let's do this" I smile at him. Tip toeing I kiss his cheek. "Thank you" he smiles at me and opens the door.

"Hello Brother and the beautiful Teresa" Ray says while we walk in. I quietly give Roman his coffee. "What do you want?" Roman asks Ray impatiently.

Teresa is sitting on the chair across from Roman. "Don't be so rude Roman, your brother is saying hi" Teresa says. I'm standing by Roman's desk. Ray grabs Teresa's hand "thank you Teresa, Roman has been so mean to me lately.

Ever since this engagement thing he's been ignoring me, and not saying hi like he usually does" Ray complains. I roll my eyes at Ray.

Roman sighs in annoyance, "what are you talking about Ray?" Teresa glares at Roman then looks back at Ray. "It's okay Ray, from now on you're welcome to come and bother My fiance whenever you want"

Ray smiles at Teresa "thank you, I'll be more than happy to come and bother my little brother" I clear my throat so Ray can look at me.

He looks back at me I give him a look, he nods waving me off. "Teresa, why don't you join me on the couch, we could get to know each other better"

Teresa smiles at him and stands up. "Sure Ray" Roman rolls his eyes "Ray what are you doing? " Ray looks at him innocently. "I just want to get to know my sister in law, fake or not we are going to be spending a lot of time together, might as well learn a thing or too."

I nod and look at Roman "you know Mr.knight, Ray's right" Roman glares at me. I put my hand up innocently, "I'm just saying"

Teresa and Ray walk to the couch. "Come on Roman join us, Rachel can deal with the rest of the work by herself" I glare at Ray. He winks at me while smiling.

Shaking my head. I look at the chair across from Roman's desk. Teresa's purse is right there all I have to do is slip the phone in there and leave.

But Roman needs to get off his frickin chair in order for me to do that. I clear my throat again and give Ray a side glance.

"Here Teresa you sit here" Ray sits Teresa on the couch then walks to where roman is. "my dear brother come and sit here" he points to the spot next to Teresa.

Roman looks at Ray Suspiciously "you're up to something" Ray sighs and glares at Roman. "Can't I just have this one moment with you please" Ray pleaded.

Me and Teresa are just watching this little bromance moment. After a few seconds Roman gives in. "Fine" he stands up and walks to the couch sitting next to Teresa.

I slowly walk towards Teresa's bag when Roman looks back at me. "You sure you can do all the rest of the work by yourself?" He asks. I nod "of course and I'm gonna ask Lilly for some help as well, don't worry about it"

He nods then looks back at Ray who was in front of Him. I quickly put the phone in the purse. I sigh in relief and give Ray a thumbs up.

He winks at me than goes back to talking. I leave the office and go to the elevator to fetch Lilly. Ray's assistant.

I grab my phone from my pocket and text Tracy and belle in the group chat. 'Phone in purse' I wrote.

As I'm waiting for the elevator i noticed. I never really took the time to get to know Lilly, she's been working here since Ray came and that was like ages ago. I'm gonna use this time that I need her help to learn more about her.

And hook her up with Ray.
