Chapter 29: The note

Roman's P.O.V

i watched as Rachel made a fool out of my family, mostly to Teresa but still. she lost it out there. she could have really messed everything up. where the hell did she get that bottle from anyway?! "Hey roman, i think you need to talk to Rachel or get her out of here" Ray said softly behind me. 

i turn to face him. "What?" he shrugged and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. "she was talking to Teresa earlier and made Teresa feel uncomfortable so now she's telling john to kick Rachel out" i sigh and wiped my eyes tiredly "i'm exhausted, why can't you handle it?" 

he cleared his throat "she keeps trying to seduce me" i gave him a glare and sighed again. "fine i'll handle it, make sure john stays away from her" he nods and leaves, disappearing in the crowd. i search the crowd for Rachel. couldn't find her anywhere.

everybody was either on the dance floor or drinking at the bar. i run my hand through my hair. if i was a drunk Rachel where would i go?  i snap my finger and ran to the bar. well, i walked really fast. 

i slam my hand on the counter when i got to the bar. "where is my assistant?" i ask the bartender. he points his index finger to the dance floor. her and a group of girls were dancing while Rachel held a beer. 

"yes girls!" she yelled and started to sway her hips to the music. i quickly walked up to her and grabbed her wrist. "hey!" she yelled in protest. "let's go Rachel" she gasped and jerked her wrist away from my grip. "you are not the boss of me!" i glared at her and crossed my arms over my chest.

"i am your boss, you work at my company, you're my assistant and i pay you to do your work not get drunk at my engagement party" i said raising my voice a little.

people were starting to look. i know me and Rachel have a thing but i cannot have her messing up this deal, so if i have to be rough with her and be a dick towards her then that's what i'm going to do. 

she opened her mouth to say something but then closed it. she nods. "you're right Mr.knight and i am sorry for acting out, i promise this won't ever happen again" i nod in agreement

"it better not" Teresa ran up to me and held my arm. "yeah baby you tell her!" she whispered yelled. i roll my eyes at her. Rachel rolled her eyes as well and looked back at me. 

"i'm going to go home now and sober up, i'll see you Monday." i nod once at her. as she walked by i saw a smirk on her face. i shook my head at her. she slipped something in my pocket jacket while she walked away.

Teresa looked at me happily. "you were so hot out there!" i smile at her and looked at the door where Rachel was now leaving then back at Teresa. 

"it's getting late we should wrap this up" i tell her. she nods in agreement and started to tell people to leave. i stuck my hand in my jacket pocket.

it was a note, 'come over right now' the note said. i smirked and stuck the note back in my pocket. when did she have time to write that?

i walk to Ray who was helping my dad put stuff away. "hey Ray i need you to do something for me, can you please tell Teresa that something urgent came up at the company, i would tell her myself but i can't find her" i lied. 

he nodded while grabbing a plate of food. "yeah sure, and if you need any help over there call me" i nod and pat his shoulder. walking by him, i rushed out of there. 

i need to get to Rachel's house fast, i already know what it is she wants.
