Chapter 52: Henry

I had gotten all your letters Rachel...and I'm sorry I never replied" I half smile at him. "It's okay pa" he nods and continues.

"I went outside for a walk one day when I met this women--" "ah! I see, this women changed you she made you into a better person" Josh says. I nudge his arm "Josh be quiet please" he rolls his eyes.

"Um yes Josh you're right, this women did change my life for the better"

Henry's P.O.V

"Sir are you okay?" A women asks me. I was sitting on the bench looking into the sky. "The clouds are talking to me" I tell her.

She sits down next to me. "What are they saying?" I look at the women. She's an attractive women. She looks Spanish probably Cuban, she had short black hair and shiny green eyes, her freckles around her eyes and cheek bones made it look like she was wearing a mask.

I sigh and look away from her and back to the clouds. "They are saying that they are tired of flooding around, they have nothing else to do...they're bored" she chuckles.

"How many drugs are you on?" I shake my head "no drugs today sweetie, just beer" I hear her sigh. She stands up in front of me. "My name is Lucy, and I think God lead me here to you for a reason"

I shake my head while smiling. "God....God doesn't exist, if he did he wouldn't have taken the love of my life from me."

She shakes her head "God does everything for a reason, he closes a door to open another one, he probably took the love of your life because it's time for her to go home back to him. Shes needed with him"

I sigh and look at the lady called Lucy. "I'm Henry" she puts her hand out "I'm here to help you"

End of Henry's P.O.V

"After that, she took me under her wing...I don't know why she was so comfortable with me or why I was with her too...but she got me to quit the drinking and drugs.

She took me to her church and they welcomed me with open arms, I became a police officer to help take the druggies and the drunks off the streets. Lucy saved my life and introduced me to my lord and savior Jesus Christ, I owe everything to her."

I took a sip of my water and look at Josh, he was listening closely. "I'm now the captain of the police force, so I was able to hire a P.I to look into you guys...I wanted to get in touch with you guys as soon as I was 100 percent clean"

He grabbed my hand that was on the table. "I'm truly, truly sorry for all the things I did to you, everything I did I am so sorry" I felt a tear come out from my eyes as i smiled at him.

Henry looked at Josh. "Josh, i know this probably doesn't mean anything to you, but i really am sorry and i asked for forgiveness with God but he told me I needed to get forgiveness from you guys"

Josh sighs and puts his hand over papi's hands which were on my hands. "I forgive you" Josh says which made pa start to cry.

I started to cry as well. "I missed you guys so much" Pa says while sobbing. Josh rolls his eyes "come on old man, you're gonna make me cry"

I laugh while tears fell. Pa squeezed our hands "I should have never went to drugs after your mother passed. I should have been with you guys, you guys were suffering as well, you lost your mother"

I shook my head "don't worry about that pa, you're here now" he smiles. We take our hands out from each others so the waitress can put the food on the table.

"Enjoy" she says and leaves. Josh immediately starts to eat "I'm starving" he groans. I laugh at him and wipe my eyes. "I also have other news...me and Lucy are getting married"

I gasp "Congratulations" he smiles "I know she will never be able to replace what I had with your mother but she can live up to it"

Josh snickers "why would she wanna marry you, you're bald" pa rolls his eyes and throws a French fry at Josh. "She likes my bald head"

Josh's eyes went wide "she needs glasses" I laugh at the both of them and bite into my burger.

I truly forgive Henry for everything he put me through, of course the memories are still gonna be there but it's all the way in the back of my head now.

"Oh so your daughters dating her boss" Josh snitches. I gasp and slap his arm "josh!" I whisper yell. Pa laughs "well is he paying you well?" I gasp "papi! That's not why I'm with him!....but yes he is"

He chuckles "I guess the real question is...is he making you happy?" Josh snorts "wait to you hear this story" I roll my eyes at him while Josh tells pa, me and Roman's history.
