Chapter 34: The orange envelope

i groan as i sit up on my bed. wiping my face i look at Danger who's sleeping right next to me. i pat his head.

"i wish i could stay in bed all day" i whine. danger sneezes in his sleep. i kiss his head and get up dragging myself to the bathroom. 

i brush my teeth and take a quick shower. i get out the bathroom after i'm done with my shower and go get dressed.

pulling out a black pencil skirt and a white long sleeve button down shirt. slipping on my black heels. i start to curl my hair using my wand, when i hear giggling coming from Josh's room.

confused i follow the sound and open Josh's room door and gasp. Tracy was naked on top of josh. "oh my God!" i scream.

Tracy screams as well and quickly covers herself with the blanket. Josh sucks his teeth. "serious sis, don't you knock?" he groans totally unfazed by the whole situation.

i point my index finger to Tracy "i didn't even know you were here! you could have told me! or at least said hi!" i yell. 

Tracy awkwardly waved "hi" i suck my teeth and stomped my way to the living room grabbing a throw pillow, i walk back into Josh's room and throw it at her.

"get ready you have work to do" i tell her. As i'm turning to leave Tracy softly says, "actually i called out today so i can spend the day with Josh"

i glare at both of them and go to leave. "use protection" i told them then slammed the door. 

i hear josh and Tracy laughing. i smile to myself. i'm glad They're happy. going back into my room i grab the wand and finish doing my hair.

as i'm about to leave Tracy comes out of Josh's room in a robe. "oh Rach. before you leave" she says and runs to me. "do you have Teresa's phone?"

she whispers so Josh wouldn't hear her. i nod "yeah i'm gonna see if she comes by today and if not i'll try to make Roman call her to make her come by" i whisper back. she nods and turns to leave.

i grab her arm softly. "Trace, i'm really glad you're happy" she smiles at me. "me too" i smile back at her and let her arm go. blowing a kiss to Danger who moved to the couch i leave the house.  

i walk slowly to the car, since i'm earlier than usual. as i'm walking i think about everything that has happened.

this whole thing with Teresa and Mark, it's confusing to me and weird but it seems so normal.

i really want to be with Roman, i don't know what it is about him but i think i'm kinda obsessed with him. 

i open my car door and sit inside. i throw my purse on the passenger seat when an orange envelope comes out of it. confused i grab it. then i remembered. the ginger guy gave this to me. (if you don't remember check the 'getting ready' Chapter)

opening it slowly i look inside, there was letters and pictures in it. confused i took the stuff out from the envelope and inspect the letters.

i gasp "these letters" it was 4 letters, the same letters that i had written to my father. After he had left me and Josh i got curious as to what became of him. i never told Josh this but i went on a search to look for him.

He was my father and i still loved him even after all the bad things he did. 

so i looked and looked for him. when i finally found him he was living in a crack house and i had send him letters hoping he would respond and come back home.

but he never did and after i wrote the fourth letter i gave up and wrote no more. 

putting the letters to the side i check out the photos. it was photos of me and josh when we were little, before mom died.

it was us 4 me, josh, pa and mom. we look so happy. i felt a tear come down, i quickly wiped it and looked at the other pictures.

another picture was when i learned how to swim, Josh was teaching me. Another one was my mom and dad kissing and me and Josh photo bombing in the back ground.

Another one was me and my dad, i was on top of his shoulder i think i was 10 in the picture. 

smiling i check the last picture and gasped, it was a recent picture. i was walking Danger outside. i quickly look around outside out my car window.

no one was there. i look for the SUV...nothing. putting away the pictures with shaky hands i drove to work.

could my father really had been the one to send me those things? i mean i know i made the letters but he was living in a crack house.

any one of them could have had them instead. but those pictures of when i was little, only papi had that so who else could have send them.

but that recent picture is what's giving me the chills. if it had been papi that was spying on me why didn't he say anything?

why not come up to me and speak to me? why not try to get in contact? so many questions and i only know one person who has the answers.

the ginger guy. he's the one that has been following me. And ever since he gave me the envelope i haven't seen the SUV.

i had told Ray to call off the body guards since i no longer needed them since i haven't seen the SUV in so long i assumed he was done following me. 

scratching my head with all these thoughts. I arrive at the company. parking in my parking spot i put back the letters and pictures back in the orange envelope and stuffed it in my purse. 

locking my car door i walk silently to the lobby. "Good morning Rachel" Belle said when she saw me. i walk silently to her still shocked of my new discovery.

"morning, is Roman in?" i asked. she nods "yeah...are you okay?" i sigh nodding "yeah just...rough morning" 

she smiled "well get your butt upstairs and don't forget about the phone" i nod and walked towards the elevator. pressing the button i waited patiently.

"hey stranger" Ray said while he walked to me. "hey" i said quietly. "haven't seen you in a long time" Ray said while putting his arm over my shoulder.

"yeah you know how it is...busy busy busy" i fake smile and walk into the elevator when it got here. Ray followed me in. "hey you okay? you seem a little down" i sigh and press the button for Roman's floor. 

"i just have a lot on my mind" i told him. he nods "i understand...i could help make you feel better" he put his arm around my waist and pulled me to him. i smile at him "look, i was drunk at the engagement party, it's not happening again" 

he sighed in disappointment. "worth a shot" i smile and kissed his cheek. "next time?" he asked with a puppy dog face.

i nodded while smiling "yes next time" he smiled "you have a beautiful smile" "thank you" i replied while he got off at his floor. 

"until the next elevator ride" he said. i wave bye as the door closes, than went back to my foul mood.
