Chapter 17: The dance floor

Music blasted inside the club. The club was filled with people from work. "Rachel! Happy birthday" belle said and hugged me tightly. I hug her back. 

"Thank you" I smile. "Rachel! Danger is here" Tracy yelled. She decided to bartend so she had clear view of the door. I clapped in happiness "yay my baby!" I run towards the door.

Josh was trying to get control of danger but of course, no one but me can walk danger without him going crazy. "Danger sit down your mom's coming relax" Josh said to him. Danger barked at him and continued jumping and dragging Josh with him while he walked to me.

I bend down so danger could jump on me and lick me. "Hi baby! Did you miss me? I missed you! oh my good boy you're so handsome look at your bow tie!" I kiss the top of his head. He licked me back in return then sat down so I can fix his bow tie collar.

"Gosh why did you get a pit bull!? why not a little dog like a Chihuahua or a Yorkie you just had to get the big heavy dog with big teeth" Josh complained. "Oh shut up, you're just mad he loves me and not you" I said while kissing danger. I grab his chain leash from Josh. "Go put my presents over there on that table"

"Don't tell me what to do" he whines and walks to the table. I roll my eyes at him and went towards Tracy and belle. "So girls you're having fun?" I ask them. Belle sighs heavily "James is dancing with another girl" She gestures with her chin. I turn to the dance floor.

James was getting grinded on by a dirty blond hair chick. She was pretty. I sigh "I'm sorry honey...want me to stop them?" She nods pouting "please" 

With danger I walk towards James and the girl. She screamed when she saw danger. "What the hell Rachel why did you bring him here I'm allergic!" The girl who i realized was Taylor, she works with James at the technology section.

"Oh my gosh Taylor I'm so sorry!" I said while pulling danger closer to me. "It's okay I'm gonna go to the bathroom" she said. I smiled at her apologetic. Once she left I gave James a glare.

"You knew she was allergic and you brought him here any way" James glared. I shrug "actually I didn't know it was Taylor that was dancing with you, but it worked you're away from her." He crossed his arms together "and why did I need to be away from her?" he raised his eyebrow. I pat his shoulder

"listen James, it's my birthday party and I don't like seeing my best friend upset because the guy she has a crush on is dancing with another girl" He sighed "Rachel I already explained this to belle. We're both busy we can never work" I roll my eyes at him "make time then" I walk away from him, bringing Danger with me.

"Yo Rachel you gonna drag him everywhere?" I heard Ray say behind me. I smile and turned around "he's my baby I don't like leaving him alone" He smiled and kissed my cheek "happy birthday sweetheart. i left my gift at the table, it's the big red one" I turn my head to the table and saw the big red bag "damn Ray you went all out" 

He chuckled "anything for you" I kissed his cheek "Thank you" I noticed Ray glance at my body. I choose to ignore it. The look in his eye was all to familiar. "Rachel!" Someone called me. "I'll see you later" I told him and walked away from him. walking to the person who called out my name, which was Brian.

"Yes Brian can I help you?" I ask him. He smirked "I believe you owe me a dance" I nod "Yes I do but not right now, I need you to dance with belle and make that guy jealous" I said while pointing to James.

He nodded "sure but then I get that dance" He points his finger at me. I chuckle "promise" he winks at me and walked towards Belle. I walk upstairs so I can put Danger in there. I already asked Brian before if it was okay. When I opened the office door. Roman was standing there.
