Chapter 37: Lilly

I knock on Lilly's office. "Hey lilly" I say as I go in. She smiles brightly. "Hey Rach, what are you doing here? I don't think Ray's at his office" I nod and sit across from her desk.

"Yeah I know he's with Roman, I actually came here for you" she points to her chest "me?" I nod while chuckling. This girl is so cute and innocent, she's perfect for Ray.

"Yes you, Roman left me a whole bunch of work to do by myself and I was hoping you can help me with some of them, since you do the same things I do" she nods.

"Yes of course I'll help you, do you want to work here or upstairs?" After thinking for a moment I say "we can work here" she smiles and nods.

After I went upstairs to go get my laptop and I was back at Lilly's office, we settled on sitting at the couch in her office.

"So you can do these files and I'll do these" I tell her while pointing to the files on the screen. She nods and gets straight to work.

As we're working I glance at Lilly. "You know, i know nothing about you" i tell her. She chuckles "well it's not like we're close" I nod "no, yeah I know, but we should be....okay pause"

I tell her and close her laptop, I close mine as well. Placing both our computers on the coffee table I cross my legs on the couch.

"I'm gonna say something about me and then you're gonna say something about you " I tell her. She nods and puts her legs on the couch like I did. (Indian style)

"Okay so I have a dog, he's a full breed black pit bull, his name is danger, he's 4 years old I had him for a year know" she puckers her lip together "he sounds cute" I smile "he is"

She clears her throat "okay I have a cat, he's white and fluffy. His name is Poseidon and I had him since he was a kitty" "sounds cute" I say.

She nods while chuckling. "I have an annoying older brother, he just came out from the military, he's a pain in my ass but I still love him" she chuckles "I have a twin sister, but we don't look alike, she has brown eyes and brown hair, I have the blond hair and blue eyes.

She's older by 2 minutes, and she too is a pain in my ass but I love her " I gasped "wow you have a twin! Do you guys have any facial features that look alike? Like same nose or lips?"

She nods "we have the same nose, but her lips are more full than mine" I nod and clear my throat.

"Well my mother passed away when I was 16 from cancer" she put her hand on my hand for comfort "I'm so sorry" I nod "thank you, my father left me and my brother Josh when I was 18, and i never saw him again"

She sighs "I'm so sorry, that's terrible....but your mother would be so happy with the girl you are today" I smile at her. "Thank you that means a lot" she smiles than clears her throat.

"Both my parents are married, they divorced when I was 20, so 5 years ago" I gasped "you're 25? You're so young!"

She laughs "yes I am, but I don't let that stop me" I laugh with her "you shouldn't, and I'm sorry about your parent's" she waved me off. "It's okay, honestly they are way better split up.

No arguing and more quietness" I chuckled. She sighed "Recently though I found out, my boyfriend was cheating on me." I gasp and held her hand "oh my gosh no way!"

She nodded and looked down. "Yeah, it was 2 days ago actually, I found out he was sleeping with my 'best friend' " she did quotation Mark's when she said best friend.

"That bastard, how dare he and how dare her" I said with anger. She nods "yeah, I thought of many evil things to do to them but it wouldn't change anything, what's done is done you know"

I nodded "yeah I get it, I'm sorry you have to deal with that" she sniffed. Her head was down. I feel so bad for her. 

I wrap my arm around, she immediately started to cry. "I haven't told anyone, not even my sister knows" she sniffed. I sighed and held on to her tighter. "I'm so embarrassed " she sobbed.

I shook my head and pulled apart from her so she can look at me. "No, don't do that, you have nothing to be embarrassed about" she sniffed "is there something wrong with me then? Did I do something wrong? Did she have something that I didn't?"

I shook my head again. "Lilly stop, don't think like that, you are beautiful, you're kind and gentle, and you're frickin working at a knight company! You're Ray's assistant the sexiest man alive!"

She laughs and wiped her eyes. "You have a nice butt! Your eyes are too die for and your hair is so soft, what do you use on it by the way I really need to know" she giggled and sniffed.

I smile at her "don't ever think low of yourself because of a guy who couldn't keep it in his pants, you're a wonderful girl and if that guy couldn't see it then he obviously didn't deserve you"

She smiled and wrapped her arms around me. "Thank you Rachel, I really needed to hear that" I smiled back at her.

"Any time my darling anytime" We hear some one clear their throat. We both turn to the noise. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to eavesdrop, but I couldn't bring myself to interrupt" Ray said innocently.

I rolled my eyes playfully at him. "No it's okay Mr.knight" Lilly said while wiping her eyes. I motioned Ray to come in. He hesitantly walked in slowly.

"Lilly that guy is a piece of shit, and if you want I will go right now and kill him but you guys are gonna have to bail me out" Ray said while walking towards us.

Me and Lilly chuckled. Lilly shook her head "no Ray it's okay, really I'll get past this, but thank you for caring " he nodded. I smiled at the both of them and stood up.

"Well Ray, if you're here then that must mean everything went smoothly upstairs?" I asked. He nods "yeah and Roman is gonna help you with the documents"

I glance at Lilly and smirked "well, all he has to do is 2 documents. we finished most of them" me and Lilly high fived.

Ray chuckled at the both of us. "Well I'm gonna go back to my office, Lilly you take the rest of the time off, you can do whatever you want" Lilly stood up grabbing her laptop with her.

"I want to work, I like to work I don't need time off" she said. Ray shrugs "okay, I was only suggesting" Lilly smiled at him. "I know and thank you, but me and my new friend need to get back to work" she said while looking back at me smiling.

I smile back at her and stood up grabbing my laptop as well. "Yes you're right" Ray shook his head "you girls are weird" he goes to walk out the office while me and Lilly laugh.
