Chapter 19: The morning after

After the party was over everyone had all went home and i stayed to help Brian clean the club. I'm laying down in bed exhausted. I called Roman already and told him i needed the day off. i still haven't opened any presents yet, they are in the living room scattered on top of the couch.

"Rachel have i told you, i loved you?" Josh said while he walks into my room. i sigh and sat up. "no...what did you do?"

he chuckled "oh dear sister of mine it's not what i did it's what you did! you helped me with Tracy!" he yelled and plopped himself on my bed. "yeah, how was it by the way?" i asked dryly. i totally forgot to ask josh what happened last night but at the same time I was exhausted. "well...We kissed!!" he yelled and jumped on the bed. 

i gasped and screamed in excitement and jumped up and down the bed with him. "oh my god how? when? why?!" he laughed and stopped jumping. i laid back down. Danger jumped on the bed and was on top of me. i started to pet him while Josh told me the story. 

"so after we slow danced, me and Tracy started to talk right? and i told her how i felt, she was blushing and she explained how she's with Bruce and yada yada yada, And then! while we were sitting on the booth, she told me that i was extremely attractive and i did stuff that Bruce never did and then! she said that if you give her permission, she will like to go on a date with me this Friday! and i tried to play it cool right, i was like 

'oh but you're with Bruce' 

And she was like 'the whole time i was here not once did Bruce text me to see if i was okay' and she was saying something about how he doesn't care about her and he's hiding something and she thinks he's cheating on her, So then i was like 'if you was with me that would never happen, i will always check to see if you're okay and i would never hurt you' 

She got all red and i put my hand on her knee and she smiled at me and put her hand on my arm and Oh My God Rachel i felt like a girl with a crush! i felt butterflies everywhere!" he yelled. i chuckle at him. 

Josh was never like this. i mean he's a gentlemen yeah, but he never got crazy for a girl. he was always the hit it and quit it guy. "so then what happened?" 

he smile's "After we sang happy birthday to you, me and her went outside. she had to go home. remember when she had to leave early?"  i nod "because of her mom" i added. "yeah. her mom had called her saying that she fell down and you know her mom is old so she had to leave" i nodded agreeing with him, i kissed danger on his nose then continued listening to Josh.

"so i walked her to her car and i asked her if she will be okay, like if she needs me to go with her for support or whatever, and she said that 'no it's fine it's Rachel's birthday you have to help her clean up blah blah blah" i chuckle.

 "so i open the car door for her and i said 'be careful driving' and she smiled at me and....Get ready for it...She kissed me! she slowly tip toed and kissed my cheek but it was so sudden that i had moved my face and she kissed my lips instead!" he yelled and started jumping. Danger barked at him and Josh put his hand up in surrender.  

"I'm sorry" he said to Danger. i laugh and urged him to go on. "so then she had gasped but she didn't have time to be surprised or pull away because i grabbed her waist and pulled her to me and kissed her! with tongue! and she kissed me back instantly, like she didn't even think about it. it was as if she wanted to do that all night!" I clapped for him while he smiled in happiness. 

"thank you, thank you. then i pulled away and really low and seductive i said 'see you tomorrow' and then i left leaving her speechless!" he grabs a pillow on my bed and hits my leg with it. 

i scoff "so you kissed her, she kissed you back and you say see you tomorrow but when are you going to see her today? she's working" he chuckled evilly and waved his hand "you don't think i have a back up plan! you are going to ask her to come for a sleep over" 

i rolled my eyes "right, of course i have to get involved again" he smiled and rubbed the top of my head making my hair messy. "stop! i hate it when you do that!" i whined and tried to fix it. 

"you love me, now go to the living room and open those presents. i got you the best gift ever!" he jumps off my bed leaving my room. i groan and pat danger's body to get off me so i can go to the living room, he follows me. 

"which one is yours?" I question. he points to the big Rectangle box, "that one and those 2 bags" he says and sit's down on the floor next to me. Danger laid down by my knee as i opened the gifts. "open those bags first then the box" Josh said. i grab the bag. "oh my God Fashion Nova!" i yelled in excitement. 

he got me 3 cute shirts and 2 pairs of pants. i hug him. "thank you!" he laughed "there's still more Rach" i gasp excitedly and open the other bag. it was 4 very cute dress's for work. "this is so cute" i said while pulling out a stretchy dress that had yellow blue and white tie dye on it.

 he nodded "yeah, i saw this and i was like damn Roman would love to see her wear that" i slap his arm.  he chuckles "now for the best part" he hands me the box. "i hope it fits" 

i open the box and nearly jump him. "oh my god it's the boots! i mean thee boots, the one i have been trying to get!" Danger barked at me to shut up. He doesn't like loud noises. Josh chuckles at him. "I'm sorry" i said and kissed his head. "Josh thank you so much this must have cost a fortune" i said while admiring my new black boots.  

he shrugged "anything for my wonderful sis" i kissed his cheek then opened more presents.

"what's this?" i asked Josh while grabbing a little red box. "oh Roman got you that" he said and got up to get orange juice. i inspected the box a little more before opening it. i slowly lifted the top off. I gasp my eyes wide. 

it was a beautiful ruby ring. "what is it?" Josh asked. without saying anything to him i just showed him the ring. he gasped "shit, this looks expensive"

i nod "it does, it's so pretty! i don't want to give it back" i whine. Josh raised an eyebrow. "you want to give this back to him?" i nod "yeah it's to expensive and he shouldn't be giving me this ring. i mean what does it even mean? what's the symbol for giving me this ring? is it a promise ring? a marriage ring?" 

Josh shrugs "don't know, but i say you wear it and act like you didn't know he gave it to you" i look at him confused "what do you mean?"

 he placed his cup of orange juice on the coffee table and sat down next to me. "so...he gave this to me to give to you, there was no note no nothing. what if i never told you that he was the one that gave it to you. what if i told you Ray got it for you"  

he smirks evilly. i glare at him. "you're evil" he waves me off "come on it's a good plan! you wear it to work tomorrow and if he notices it just say 'ray gave this to me, can you believe it? it's beautiful right" he said in his best girly voice. 

i laugh "that sounds like belle" he chuckled "i been hanging out with her to much" i slip the ring on my ring finger in my left hand. "this is the hand for marriage right?" i asked josh.

 he shrugged. "i don't know shouldn't you know this?" he said and got up walking to his room. "what about Ray's actual present?!" i called after him. "it's on the table" he yelled back. 

i reach out for the bag. it was a big silky red bag. i pulled out a black loose short dress "ooh" there was matching heels to go with it. i gasped "this is gorgeous" "wear it to work!" Josh yelled from his room. "you saw it?" i called back. there was silence. "hello?" i heard him laugh   

"i nodded but you didn't see me, i forgot we not in the same room" he called out. i chuckled softly. "yeah i saw it, wear it tomorrow and wear the ring and tell roman, Ray got you everything you're wearing"    

"you like starting drama" i told him. he laughs "I've been watching too much telenovela" i chuckle and grab the heels and dress. "alright Roman, get ready because tomorrow I'm gonna piss you off" i said to myself. 

"stop talking to yourself!" josh yelled from his room. "get out my house!" 

"Never!!"
