Chapter 40: Opening up

Roman smirked while he kissed my neck. i moaned and pulled myself closer to him. we were on his desk, making out.

he kissed my lips softly. i wrap my hands around his neck. he pulled away. "we should do something later" he says while taking my hair out my face.

i smile "what should we do?" he shrugs and picks me up. i wrap my legs around his waist. He walks us to the couch.

"Well, we never finished watching all the marvel movies...maybe we can do that " he suggests while sitting down on the couch, with me straddling him.

I nod "yeah we should but maybe" I brush my fingers through his hair. "We go to your house instead of mine"

He smirked "you wanna see where I live?" I shrug "well you saw where I live, and technically if you don't want to get disturbed by Josh

We should go to your house instead" he smirked "yeah fine, we go to my house" I smiled and pecked his lips.

"Can I bring danger? He can meet Katy" I say while getting off him. "Yeah bring him, he won't attack her right?" He asked worried.

I shook my head "no of course not, she's a girl he loves girls " roman chuckled. I sat down next to him on the couch and put my leg over his.

He held my leg while we talked. "You know I don't think I know much about you...besides what your resume tells me" he says while giving me a curious look.

I place my hands on my lap "what do you want to know?" He shrugs "favorite color? Favorite movie? Parents?" I stiffened at the word parents.

I clear my throat. "My favorite color is red, my favorite movie is white chicks and mamma mia...my parents"

I hesitate, I haven't really told anybody about papi, the girls don't even know about him.

"My mom died when I was 16 of cancer...my dad..he uh" Roman put his hand over my hand. "It's okay you don't have to tell me if its serious"

I sighed "no I'll tell you just give me a second." He nodded and took his hand away. I took a deep breath before I spoke. "My dad was a drug addict, an alcoholic.

When my mom died he took it the hardest. She was his soulmate and he lost her. Instead of coming to me and Josh for comfort he went to alcohol and drugs.

Since I looked so much like my mom, and he was intoxicated with drugs and stuff he hit me. He didn't really get to do it a lot because of josh...

But um one day, I had a half a day at school so I was home earlier than usual...my dad came home and saw me on the couch...he was beyond drunk.

He dragged my out the couch and was hitting me calling me names and said it was my fault that my mother died.

He started to um...choke me and--" I cut off feeling a tear come down. Roman wiped it "Rachel" he said with care. Which made me want to cry more.

I cleared my throat "he started to choke me and I was gonna black out. I felt myself give up and the life was getting sucked out of me.

Josh comes inside the house and pushes him off me. He attacked my dad. He beat him up badly. After that day we never saw him again" I say while wiping my tears.

Roman takes my leg off him and grabs me. Pulling me into a tight hug. I felt more tears come down. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked." He says softly.

I shake my head and pull my self away to look at him. "No I'm glad you asked, now you know" he nods giving me a little smile.

"You're beautiful" he says. I blush and slap his chest playfully while sniffing. He chuckles and hugs me again. "I won't let anything ever happen to you..I'll protect you" he kisses my head and continues to hold me.

I sigh and hug him tighter. Roman..I think I'm falling for you.

"So are we gonna check up on mark?" Tracy asked while driving. I sighed "Tracy it's only been a day, give him more time before we call him"

Tracy rolled her eyes "a lot can happen in a day Rach" I shook my head "I still think it's to early...what do you think belle?"

I turned my head to belle. She was pouting while staring at her phone. "Belle?" She looked at me with sadness. "James hasn't called"

I sigh "belle, relax he's gonna call you" Tracy nodded "yeah belle, hes probably just catching up with his family"

Belle whimpered "but I miss him" "ugh" Tracy groaned and leaned on the window while driving with one hand. I slap Tracy's arm.

Turning back to belle. "You should have gone with him to Jersey to meet his family" she moaned. "But I'm not ready! What if they don't like me! What if they think I'm not good enough for their son?!"

"You won't know unless you meet them!" Tracy yelled. "when James gets back just tell him your concerns and hopefully he will understand and won't rush you" I say while putting lip gloss on.

"It's his mother I'm worried about. From what James told me, she chased away his ex girlfriend I'm worried she'll do the same with me" Belle pouted.

Tracy rolled her eyes. "Belle you're an amazing funny beautiful girl! If James mother can't see that, then forget about her, it's your relationship not hers"

I nodded in agreement "yeah, and who knows maybe she will even love you" Belle sighed. "Yeah you're right...the both of you" I smiled at her. She smiled back.

Tracy parked the car. "Okay, text Lilly we here " I grabbed my phone. We are picking up Lilly to hang out together. We're gonna go to this restaurant called El Reys together.

"So is Lilly nice or what? Do we add her to the group or keep our distance?" Tracy asked. I chuckled "she's nice and I think she will be a great new person in our squad"

Belle nodded "yeah, she smells good too" Tracy sighed "we'll see" she mumbled.

2 minutes later Lilly opened the back seat door. And sat next to belle. "Hey guys" she said cheerfully. "Lilly this is Tracy, Tracy Lilly" I said while gesturing to Tracy.

Lilly smiled at her "it's nice to meet you" Tracy smiled back and gave me a side glace. "You're right she does smell good" she whispered. I chuckled. Tracy starts the car.

"I'm starving! Let's go eat!" Belle yelled. We all laughed. I turned on the radio and we listened to music.
