Maddie's POV
The guests are enjoying their drinks and appetizers, there are already so many familiar faces but guest after guest arrives, one by one, by pair or even group. Family friends, friends, business partners and many more. Some of the media men are also here to cover her debut.
Some of them are enjoying the photo booth or just simply talking. I trail behind Therese as she talks to the guests to entertain them. Well that's our job for this night, to be good hosts and make sure everyone is okay. While Therese, Gizelle and Marge are doing marvelous with it, it's the opposite for Me, Jirah and Bea. We've never been good at mingling with people, especially me and Beatriz. Jirah can't do her assigned task because she never left Jia's side, so possessive. Bea is trying to woo Jhoana, who's also in the party, turns out we are connected to Bea's dream girl, we weren't just aware before.
I'm trying though, exchanging few Hi/Hello to the people I know. And politely smiling at the people who greets me. I badly want to take my seat and go to my own little world.
"Hello, Maddie." My attention was caught when I heard a familiar voice.
"Oh, Hi, ate Cha." I smiled at her and leaned forward to kiss her.
"I see you guys are wearing matching outfits." despite her age, Ate Cha is still so beautiful.
I watched her as she scanned the room and checked out my friends and I's dresses. We're all wearing dresses from Pronovias 2016-2017 collection. Therese, wearing an all black see-through long dress. The rest of us are wearing black/cream and white, following the motif.
"Yeah." I smiled shyly. "You have no company? Want me to call Fille?" Ate Cha is a close friend of them, and she's the older sister of the Cruz Twins.
"No, need. But, thank you, I'm with the twins they were kidnapped by Ara and the others." she said with a laugh. "Cienne's looking for you." her tone is suggestive and I blushed.
I hope Therese will rescue me, after she greeted ate Cha she left me and talked to the other guests.
"Haha! You're still charming, no wonder Cienne likes you." she's so straight forward. This is why I'm always tensed when I see her. I don't know how to react so I stayed staring at my feet with a shy smile.
"I'll go over to Fille's, it's nice to see you." she still has her amused smile, I watched her leave. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding.
"Did my ate teased you again?" she's staring up at me. Considering my height, I am tall for her. She's 5'5, her famous shy smile playing on her lips. She's also looking at her sister, who's now talking to the group of friends.
"It's okay. I got used to it." I smiled at her. "It's nice to see you." I'm sincere with what I said, unlike to the others earlier. The Cruz are our good sisters.
"Really?" she asked shyly.
"Yeah, of course." my smile became wider, she's too cute.
"Maddie, I've been looking for you. I told you to follow me after talking to ate Cha." her nagging is everywhere. I got shy, imagine, other people witnessing it while she's scolding you.
"Tey, stop. You're the one who left me kaya." I glanced at Cienne and Therese got surprised. She gave me an apologetic smile.
"Hello, Cienne! Sorry about that." she greeted cheerfully and kissed her.
"No, it's okay. Sige Maddie, I'll see you around." she leaned for a hug and I gladly obliged.
"Let's go to our seats. The Party's about to start."
