Maddie's POV

It's the last day of class before we hit Christmas break, the sound of Christmas carols and smell of hot chocolate as I pass by Il Padrino filled my system making me excited for the coming holiday.

I'm almost near to pumping my fist in the air if the thought of why I'm here in the mall after I got out from my last class entered my mind. My excitement vanished as my face crumpled in annoyance.

With heavy feet, I dragged my self to my destination. If all of them didn't bug me I would probably be with Pauline right now. I was so excited because she texted me and asked if I want to have lunch with her and the moment I was about to said yes my annoying best friends came. All five of them against me, later on I gave in and declined Pauline's offer.

We both know that it'll be hard to spend some alone time. Most of our family will be home and we'll go on vacations. Sadly we weren't able to make the most out of our last day.

And here I am roaming around the bookstore looking for the book Marge told me to buy for her, 'The Return of the Young Prince', the second book of Marge's favorite book growing up. I'm still annoyed but instead of sulking I should find it sooner rather than later so I can go home.

One of their staffs approached me and asked if I need help, I took the opportunity to make my task easier.

She disappeared and told me to wait for a while, as she went to the storage room to get me a copy. I'm just right on time, that was the piece of it.

It wasn't long until she came back holding the book, she assisted me until I'm done paying, I thanked her before leaving.

On my way out of store, someone called my name. I turned my head to find the owner of the voice.

My eyes found, not only one, but two persons, who share the same features. If it wasn't for the one smiling shyly at me while the other is waving her hand excitedly as they approach me, I won't recognize who is who.

"I knew it was you!" She beamed, "Told you!" She faced her sister.

I gave them a smile.

"Hi Camille, it's nice to see you." I leaned in to welcome her kiss.

I faced the other one.

"Hello, Cienne. It's been awhile." I greeted.

"It's nice to see you, Maddie." She smiled shyly.

Camille talked again, her energy still high.

"Are you alone?"

"Uhh, yeah."

"Would you mind if we join you?"

"Camille, she's heading home na yata eh." Cienne scolded her sister.

"Oh, no, it's okay. I won't mind." I smiled to reassure them.

"Great! Let's grab a bite then!" Camille linked her arm with mine and started pulline.

Her twin following closely beside us, giving her sister a disapproving look. I flashed her another smile to let her know it's okay.

Camille asked if it's okay if we eat in Ramen Nagi, 'cause she's been craving for it. And me being me, I said yes.

"So, what were you doing earlier?" Camille opened a conversation after we placed our orders.

"Oh, Marge asked me a favor to buy a book for her." I smiled.

"Such a nice best friend huh." She teased.

"I guess." I chuckled, "How about you girls? What brought you here?"
