Maddie's POV
"What are you doing here?!" Someone hissed behind me. Startling me.
I am hiding behind a tree so that Pauline won't see me. I've been following her since she got out from her last class.
"Hi." I said sheepishly. I removed my wayfarer to have a better look at her.
"Madayag! It's only been two days since you got out from the hospital!" She angrily said and pulled me towards the bench.
"I know and I'm okay." I said with a smile.
"I told you to stay in your house diba?" She wiped the beads of sweats on my forehead with her eyebrows still furrowed.
"It's so boring in there." I whined.
"Pupuntahan naman kita ah. And sina ate rin."
"Mamayang hapon pa yun eh."
"Diba ang sabi magpahinga ka muna."
"I had enough rest."
"You're so stubborn. Naiinis ako sayo." She crossed her arms angrily.
"Don't be mad na, please? Nothing bad happened naman to me eh." I inched closer but she moved away.
"See? I'm okay. Please don't be mad. I want to take you out on a date." I gave her my most charming smile and she faced me tryihg to hide her smile.
"So, will you?" I gave her a hopeful smile, "Go out on a date with me?" I clasped both of my hands in front of me.
"Where's manong? For all I know kinulit mo siya hanggang pumayag siyang ihatid ka dito."
Pauline has my car keys, she knows that I won't stay home if I have my car with me. She talked to everyone in our house especially the drivers to keep an eye on me.
"Umm... he's not here?"
Her eyebrows shoot up in realization.
"I knew it, tumakas ka 'no?" Her eyebrows creased again.
"Yes." I whispered, scared of what she might do.
"Hayy, Maddie. What am I gonna do to you?" She let out a sigh.
"Go out with me?" I beamed and she pinched my nose.
"Anong sinakyan mo?"
"Jeep!" I enthusiastically said.
"Gosh, why are you so stubborn?"
I gave her a smile as an answer. She placed her palm on my forehead and neck to check if I'm still sick.
"I already took my medicines."
"Good. Let me call manong so that we can go."
She was about to get her phone in her bag but I stopped her.
"No! Don't call him na."
"I didn't bring my car with me, Maddie."
"I know. But I want us to commute." I smiled at her and she look at me incredulously.
"We don't even have any idea how to do that."
"I do!" I exclaimed.
"How?"
"Jeep. We'll go to UPTC lang naman."
(A/N: I'm not really sure because I don't know how to commute also hahaha)
"Okay. Siguraduhin mo lang na makakarating tayo don, lagot ka sakin kapag naligaw tayo." She threatened and I gave her a thumbs up as if telling her I got it.
