Maddies's POV
"Nagtatampo ako sayo." a pouting Therese said as soon as she saw me entered their living room. Our other best friends, sitting there. Waiting for my response.
We survived the first week of school. It's just the first week yet they gave us a lot of works already.
So here we are, at Gaston's waiting for tita's comfort food to be ready.
"And why is that?" I asked with a smile and let my self sink into the soft sofa.
"You chose to hang out with your "friends" instead of me." Her pout is still there making her look like a cute little duck.
"Bea and Jirah did too, I went to the party because these two, right here, told me to show up." I defended myself, pointing at my two best friends for emphasize.
"Hindi naman sila nag promise saakin na they'll come with me and eat at sunnie's. Mas pinili mo pang wag maging rude kay Cienne, but didn't think about my feelings." She said with a hint of sadness in her tone.
I looked around only to see my friends wiggling their index fingers as if telling me "lagot ka". I scowled at them.
Therese gets hurt easily, it's not new for me that she's jealous over someone because she think I put someone first before her.
"And bakit nasali si Cienne with our talk?" I asked raising my eyebrows.
Cienne Cruz, the other half of the Cruz Twins. Their parents are our parents' business partner. They are on the same circle with us. We got closer to them kasi iisang school lang kami. Cienne is older than us, I am aware she has a crush on me but unlike any other girls she's not easy to get and hit on me all the given time.
"Humarot ka kasi dun." She said, moving away from me, her arms crossed defensively.
"Asus! Napakaselosa naman po ng best friend ko." I cooed closing the gap between us.
"Umm. Natin, Madds. Best friend natin. Wag mo solohin." Gizelle said before laughing along with our friends.
"Shut up nga! Baka mamaya she won't talk to me na eh." my annoyed face amusing them even more.
"Kayong dalawa ha. I'm starting to think na may feelings pa kayo." this time, it's Marge turn to tease us.
"Of course we have feelings. Ano akala mo saamin, manhid?" I faced her and gave her a "seriously" look.
"Si Tey, oo, meron. You? I don't think so." Bea said.
"What's that suppose to mean?!" I asked, their jokes getting in my nerves.
"Don't mind them. Ang pikon mo kasi kaya they enjoy teasing you." Therese said, with that I faced her after giving them a look.
"Anyway, hindi ko hinarot si Cienne! I was just being nice."
"So you mean her feelings is more important than mine now?"
"Yes-, wait! What? Stop twisting my words nga." I let out frustrated.
"HAHAHA! You're so cute!" her eyes disappeared as she laughs with my reaction, both my cheeks starting to ache due to her pinching.
"Mukhang nakalimutan na kayo ng dalawang yan ah. May sariling mundo na naman ba?" a smilling Tito Fritz appeared, he's with Pauline, by the looks of it they just finished biking.
"You know how these two gets, tito." Jirah answered for us.
He chuckled before excusing himself to prepare for lunch. Pauline trailed behind him, I am watching her intently, as if not believing that someone wearing a cycling short partnered with a racer back can look this beautiful. The girls on the cover of magazines can't even match her natural beauty.
