Maddie's POV

"Ahhhhhhhh! Shit!" I shouted, my throat burning because I've been doing this since earlier. It feels so good though, that's why I don't want to stop.

I ran my hand through my hair, the moment I closed my eyes image of Pauline dancing happily with him popped up in my head, again.

That should be me. Things will be so much better if that was me she was dancing with. If only. I wouldn't be here if I was dancing with her. For sure I would be this frustrated, damn this jealousy, I've no idea how to handle this. Now I regret leaving the party.

A lot of what ifs and possible scenes are haunting me. At least if I was there I can stop that boy from doing anything. Gosh, why am always scared?

I feel helpless. I'm so stupid.

I put my hands inside my back pocket and stared at the stars. They used mean nothing to me, I don't get why some other people loves them, I mean, they're just big exploding balls of gas, mostly hydrogen and helium. Why do they love them? That's just plain ridiculous, well, it is for me before Pauline gave them another meaning.

She's like a sky full of stars, her smile can light up the whole universe, her eyes alone are like galaxies. Since that night, when I saw the stars' reflecting in her eyes, they become meaningful to me. A sky full of stars reminds me of her.

"Why did you left?"

"What the fuck?!" I shouted due to shock. Imagine, you know you're all alone, it's so quiet then suddenly a voice will come behind you?

"Hey! Watch your words!"

She's looking at me sternly her hands on her hips, and my heart beats even more faster while I am staring at her. I slowly removed my hand from my chest, afraid that once I did she'll hear my heart screaming her name.

Damn it, Pauline. What are you turning me into?

"What are you doing here?" that's exactly what I asked her the first time I saw here, same place, same feelings, just different clothes and scenarios. I was questioning myself before because of the things I feel for me and now I am wondering why am I not fighting for what I feel for her.

"Everyone's looking for you." and by everyone I know she meant my best friends.

"You're not suppose to leave your party." I told her with a straight face.

"They're worried, you know. They called tita and found out you're not home." she stepped closer and I want to run. My emotions are too strong, I might lose control.

"I'll text them. Go back, Pau. They will wonder where you are." I kicked the stone on the pavement.

"I'm starting to think you don't want me here." her pout is the most adorable thing in the world.

"It's not that. Your party is not done, you should go back." I stared at her. She's still wearing her gown but it's now a cocktail one. Just like a princess.

"I don't want to."

"Why?"

"Because the only person I want to be there left for an unknown reason." my eyes grew wide and she smiled. "You didn't even greet me." she pouted again.

I remembered my gift and went to my car to get them. She's just watching me, I stood in front of her and stretched my hand that's holding the gift.

"Happy Birthday, Pauline." I said full of emotions, with a hidden message saying I like her.

She got them from me and smiled, I will never get tired looking at that smile.

"Hey, you got me some gifts. And it's not one, they're two."
